Anyone else addicted to Homegoods store?

For some reason, The HG Stores (that I've been in) don't seem to have this same problem. Maybe the aisles are wider. Maybe since home furnishings aren't an afterthought, they get the attention to display. HG set-up makes sense, not all hodge-podge like Marshall's & TJM.

That's a relief :) I check them out once they open.

That said, I'm gratefull that there isn't one real close by! I'm trying to get rid of stuff, not add to it! But they have great prices on nice stuff.

I agree. I mean, it *is* a wee bit like a rummage sale...BUT, that is part of the fun...the HUNT! And stuff is in it's own section...candle stuff all together, kitchen stuff all together, etc.

I am currently stalking a bedspread at Homegoods. My local store doesn't have it in the size I need, so I was directed to another store that is still an easy, reasonable drive. I found some lovely, huge ceramic serving pieces with Scottie dogs on them and have them over my kitchen cabinets.

I find lots of neat kitchen gadgets and Nordic Ware cake pans that make great gifts for my mother who loves cooking/baking. These are always fun stores to walk through. I've always thought of them being like an upscale Big Lots. The ones around me have so much merchandise on the shelves, they look like they will collapse. They aren't messy or dirty, more crowded and cramped from so much stuff.

ours are in Marshalls.

As others have said, it is dangerous to go in there! This is how I love to decorate, by searching for "finds"!!!! A neighbor asked a "stager" (people who stage nicer houses for showings) about where they get their stuff - and they shop these types of stores to come up with amazing looking rooms!

I also love to go in the day after after Xmas!. I decorate to the hilt for Xmas and I have found amazing decorations at half price!!!!!:)

I love Homegoods! I was so excited when I heard one was coming to our town. I haven't been there since Christmas, but I found several gifts there and a perfect wall hook "thing" for our master bath. I mean it's absolutely perfect and I've not seen one like it anywhere else.

We love HomeGoods/TJ Maxx/Marshalls- we have 4 (1 Home Goods/TJ Maxx, 1 Home Goods, 1 TJ Maxx, 1 Marshalls) within 10 minutes of us (plus a Marshalls warehouse/shipping center- wish that was open to the public!). We tend to have the best luck finding what we're looking for at HomeGoods or TJ Maxx, Marshalls seems to be more hit or miss. I love the number of HG/TJM/M stores we have around here- some Saturdays we just make a circuit of all of them in the area (beyond our 4).

Love love love Homegoods!

Ours is attached to a Marshalls.....something happens to you when you walk through those doors!

I could spend hours in the shoe area alone! My Mother and Aunt have been known to randomly call people asking what their shoe size is because they've found an awesome pair of shoes but not in their size. Sheets....oh my! 800 thread count for $29.99?? LOVE IT!

I like these stores pretty well, but my DH is addicted to them. He's the cook in the family and enjoys browsing the kitchen section. I like nice serving pieces and fancy ornaments ($5 waterford and wedgewood ornaments in September). But the real deals for us are the kids section. I never find outfits for the children that I'd buy there, but it's rare that I don't find a cheap board book or nice Melissa & Doug style jigsaw puzzle there. I'll go there first to find something to occupy them while we take care of the rest. I do the same with my husband: stop by the food section and buy him something to keep him occupied so we don't come home with another new bakeware set.

I think they're excellent for stocking stuffers!
