My family and I are staying at Pop Century, and have an ADR at Maya Grill in Coronodo Springs. We are myself, DW, DS 13 & DS 9. We are on the DDP, and want to get value for our money. We are not going to have a car, so we will be relying on the bus system to get around. I have 2 questions.

First, has anyone eaten there? Would you recommend it?

Second, if we come back to the room for a mid afternoon break before dinner, how long will it take to get to the resturant, and is it worth it for the time and effort to get there?

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

We stayed at the CSR last Oct. and had dinner at Maya Grill one evening. The service was very slow, the host, the wait staff, the kitchen. The food was alright but I doubt it would ever be elevated to food porn status. Mostly run of the mill steaks and sides. Very few southwest accents. The margaritas were expensive but good. Unless you want to visit CSR to look around, I would use that TS credit elsewhere.

Hope this helps. BTW, we really enjoyed CSR and would stay there again.

We went there last April and we were on the DDP. That was far and away the best meal we have had at WDW. The service was fantastic, the food was OMG!!!! The steak was so tender you could have cut it with a spoon. i wish we would go this year but it's just not in the budget. The fried cheesecake was so yummo that i could have had 6 more (if I wasn't so stuffed). The bread that you get before your meal was so good. you will not regret your choice. The ambiance is wonderful also.

Enjoy a bite of your meal for me :thumbsup2

We were there last May...service was great and food EXCELLENT...not as "themed" as some of the Disney restaurants but a nice place to have dinner. If you go back to your resort before going to Maya you will need to take a bus back to a park or DTD, then catch the bus going to CSR...make sure you give yourself plenty of time, it took us at least 45-50 minutes to get there with all of the transferring and waiting at stops.

My wife and I stayed at CSR a few years ago. We ate there one night for dinner and we both thought it was ok at best. What really hurt it for us was the pace. The service was slow from start to finish.

However I had thier buffet breakfast one morning, and it was the best breakfast on property. I have had Chef Mickys and Crystal Palace breakfast, and they are nothing compared to Mayan Grill breakfast. The selection is far less then the other two, but the quality of the food was great. Thick cut pepered bacon is my achilles heal. Ther cinnamon french toast had me going back for more. Southwestern scrambled eggs that didn't taste powdery. I wanna go back right now. popcorn::

We have enjoyed many stays at CSR. We had breakfast at Maya a few years ago. While I couldn't tell you it was outstanding, I thought the server was very pleasant, and the food was pretty good (could have been a bit warmer). I'd certainly give it another shot.:earsboy:

Had 2 great meals there and 1 disappointed meal.

We ate there on our last morning. As much as we loved the Pepper Market, it was really nice to sit in a quiet atmosphere when we were all tired at the end of our vacation. The food was great. :thumbsup2

We loved it. Great steaks. I agree it was pricey, but we were on the dining plan and it wasn't a concern at the time.

We were there for breakfast a few weeks ago; the food was fresh, hot, and very tasty! Service was attentive and atmosphere was quite nice!

I ate there in summer 2007. The place was actually double-booked with two 100+ groups booked there at the peak dining time but we got in within half an hour of our time magically. The service was a bit slow. I had an amazing seafood broth based appetizer (best appetizer of the trip) and a fantastic steak. I think it was my best of the trip. It was good but make sure to take it slow. Feel free to tour the grounds after dinner. The pool there is amazing!
