hi all
has anyone done this if so,how much does it cost, how many is it for so many questions:eek: we are going to be there for me and my dh birthday's next year our birhtdays are a day apart and i thought this would be a great way to celebrate i would love to hear from anybody who has experianced this cruise
sorry forgot to add can you get a cake?
thanks eve:D

We did a birthday cruise for DD in 2001. They had streamers and balloons on the pontoon boat and they had sodas and a big birthday cake. The cost was, I believe, $220.

This past summer, we did just a regular illuminations cruise. We had a party of 12 and it cost $125. We were allowed to bring sodas and snacks on board if we wanted.

The cruises are wonderful. They take you along the waterways towards the Studios and then sit you under a bridge (between France and United Kingdom pavillions? not sure) to watch Illuminations.

Oh, these prices did not include the tip for our driver. Have a great trip!

Hi,

I ordered a boat for MK last year (it was my hubbie's 40th). I posted availability on this website and got 9 special people to join us! (That made the cost to us about $9 each!)

Our skipper was great. We got cookies to go. (Cake was rather expensive.) Our only prob was that it was COLD that night. I was smart and brought a blanket, but some other passengers were freezin'! The fireworks were AWESOME:Pinkbounc We totally enjoyed the trip. Again, it costs about $120 and you can call the special number for events. Make sure you advertise it here and get some others to join you. A definite must!

Hope that helps! D

hi all
thank you for your inputs,we are going with family so will split it that way if we can get it
what is the minium and maximun it holds and how far in advance do you book also anybody got any pictures
thanks eve:D

Hi Eve,

The maximum I believe is 12 people (altho we had another little kid). I think you can reserve it either 60 or 90 days ahead. (It makes it difficult to plan because you don't know what time the fireworks are!) When I called, however, I had no prob getting the MK cruise (maybe the other is more popular?)

One nice thing is that there was relatively little exhaust fumes on the MK cruise. I had read some people experiened them with the Illuminations cruise.

Also, the price goes up if you do the "birthday" cruise. I'm not sure it's worth it ($100 more???)

I got some lovely shots of the fireworks. If it's a nice time of year, you will really enjoy it. I'm afraid we were all shivering!

d:)

A pontoon boat will accommodate 10 adults and two children (or a similar combination) but if you have all adults they say the maximum is 10.

The Breathless has a maximum of 6 adults and 1 child ( or similar combination) or 6 adults. I think it would be pretty crowded on the Breathless with 6 adults but that is the maximum.

By far, my favorite picture from all of my trips to WDW, Marie, me, Natalie and Vince. Check that linked thread for calling times.
