Anyone done the connecting flights in the uk..

We connecting from Newcastle to Gatwick.

Do we have to collect our luggage again and take it to Virgin desk.

Or once we have checked it in at Newcastle will it be sorted for us when we land at Gatwick.

Getting conflicting info from VH.

We are landing in the same terminal so should make it easier.

Hi. We flew from Glasgow via Gatwick to Orlando with Virgin. We checked in online for the journey down. When we reached Gatwick we had to collect our luggage and drop it off at another desk a short distance away. No checking in though. On the way back our luggage was checked right through to Glasgow. No real problem. Virgin give you the connecting flight for £10.

Yep we got the £10 deal, we leave in just under 4 weeks, and trying to sort out our arrangements.

To make sure we know what we are doing.

If you use the online check in you will have to reclaim bags at Gatwick then leave them at the luggage drop. On the way home though once you check your bags at Orlando you will not see them until Newcastle!
