Hi...

As you can see, I'm new to posting. (been lurking for a year now, amazing it doesn't seem that long :D )

Anyway, I received an offer in the mail to stay at the Sheraton Vistana Resorts for 5 days/4 nights and $100 for use at area attractions for very little money. They just require that I "attend a personally guided Sheraton Vacation Ownership presentation, lasting approximately 90 minutes."

I have some questions about this:

Has anyone ever done this before?

Is it a hard sell?? We really have no plans to purchase a time share.

What do we do with the kids for the 90 minutes?

Is this a nice place to stay??

Thanks for all your help!

We actually did this about 4 years ago...

We went there with the intent to buy anyway. (This is also before we bought DVC which I favor considerably more)

Basically you go into a room, watch a video, and then everyone was assigned a salesperson before you can even escape. He tries to sell you (and they are really good) and thats it!

My younger brothers and cousins played in the pool while we went to the seminar.

The room is awesome however and definately worth the free trip.

they are almost hard sell - not quite as bad as Fairfield or Westgate - but definitely not as easy as the Marriott, Hilton or Disney.

does that help?

just kept saying no - also bring your kids - anything to distract the sales people.::yes:: :jumping1:

most of these places have a baby sitting service - so don't even worry about the kids.

I did this a few years ago - great way to get extra Disney $$'s!!

I hadn't gone in to this with the intention to buy, but they gave me a good deal so I bought. There were tons of others around that said no......I think if you're strong in your "no's" then you'll be ok - just be prepared for them to ask more than 1 time!

Thanks for your replies everyone.

Now my DH and I have to think about this and see if we really are going to Disney this year.
