Anyone done Cinematic Dining?

I realize it's not necessary to get reserved seating for the show BUT is the dessert buffet good? It sounds like a fun and special thing to do. We want to eat there anyway. If the dessert buffet is not good though, forget it! Any pics?

We haven't. We also didn't really like the dinner we had there in March, so any thoughts of going back and doing the Dining thing are off the board for us. We found there were plenty of places to sit and watch the show from along the lake.

Never heard anyone mention the desserts actually, so not sure if they're good or not.

Always had decent food at Lombards for a lunch, but never wanted to do the Cinematic Dining offer.......plenty of places around the lagoon to watch the show and fireworks without booking the deal.

Yes it's not expensive and I have heard good things about it......anyone who has gone enjoyed it. But, strangely no one has mentioned the selection of desserts.........not sure if that's a good thing or not........lol

My family and I did it in March. It was nice. Not necessary to get a good view of the show, but still worth doing, especially if you planned to eat at a table service place anyway. The desserts were ok - basically tiny pastries and cheesecakes, so you could sample 3 or 4 different things without being a glutten. They also have hot beverages, which on a chilly March evening (upper 50's), it was nice to enjoy a decaf and my kids liked having the hot cocoa.

Thanks for chiming in. Wanted to be sure we wouldn't regret it. I think it will be a fun treat. We don't allow ourselves or our kids sugar very often, so this will be amazing to our kids. They'll be like, well... they'll be like kids in a candy store.

I didn't realize they offered this. Do you know if it would typically happen on weekends in February? We are planning a 3 night trip for the last weekend in Feb 2016. Thanks!

No.We found better viewing areas not doing it and we really did NOT like our meal at Lombards that we had had previously

We tried it a few days after they launched the program a few years ago. Overall, it was a pretty good experience. Entrees were limited - you might want to check to see if any are to your liking. Food was good - not excellent. Like stated previously, the desert were finger pastries, juices, coffee, and hot chocolate with no limit. One of the pros was not having to stress over arriving early to get a good view. The deck was full, but no where near crowded. Not sure we would do it again.

Looks fine. No drink included though, huh? Just at the dessert buffet apparently. I usually drink water anyway, but DH often has a soda.
