Anyone doing the Wine & Dine Half Marathon??

I'm signed up for the 5k through the Magic Kingdom. I also bought the commerative 5k pin when I registered for the race.

I'm looking forward to running through the Magic Kingdom. Should be a lot of fun. Anybody else running the 5k?

Me. I'm planning on a costume. Not sure what quite yet. Maybe something Wine and Dine themed. I think Anna and Kim are planning on being spectators/cheerleaders.

This is great to hear. Is sounds like a lot of us DISers will be at the World during this time. We should try and schedule some sort of large meet and greet.

And before anyone says it.....I'll plan it if there's interest. I can start a thread soon and those interested can post if they can make it or not.

I think OKWlover was working on planning a meet during this time as well a few months back.

Our Son and Daughter are doing the Half Marathon Relay on October 2nd.
It will be her first Disney Marathon. Our Son does the January Marathon and
has been doing the F&W Marathon Columbus Weekend, but this
year he will do the Half Marathon Relay with his Sister. We will

I bought my Wine & Dine after hours party at EPCOT ticket through the (407)WDW-IRUN phone number. It was no problem. I gave the reservationist my cc number. The ticket costs $35. I was also shocked to learn the after-hours party goes from 10:30PM until 3:00AM. That's much later than I thought it would last.

Tickets can be mailed to you for a small fee or picked-up at any WDW theme park will call window. I elected to pick it up at will call. I was also told you could pick it up anytime, so I'll probably get it when our family is there in June.

Nah...I decided to stick with just the 5k. A 5k will suit me better. Plus there's some appeal to me running through the Magic Kingdom.

I can understand that. I'd really like to run through MK, but i wouldn't 2 races in 1 day (even if over 12 hours apart).

I don't think there's any way to get my my registration fee, but I'm wondering how to handle things from here forward. I still would like to attend the reception (and I've already paid for it) but will I have to start the race and get picked up by the sweeper?

I'm wondering if maybe I SHOULD start the race and just do a couple of miles. I'd hate to miss it, but I know I won't be able to make it the full 13 while 7 months pregnant.

Maybe you can walk the first few miles until you get swept? It'd be fun to get pictures on the course with a 7 month belly!
