Anyone know what the weather is like in May? Will sweaters/jackets be needed for evenings? More shorts or jeans? Long sleeve or short sleeve? I hate to pack more than is needed since it's 3 of us and we're flying!

:-

Thanks for any help - I too am ready to start the packing!

:rolleyes1

Definitely more shorts than jeans! It's pretty warm in May. We always bring one pair of jeans with us but really that's it. We usually wear jeans and bring a light jacket if we go to a late Fantasmic show. Sometimes the rain can also be a little cool in the evening.

3 weeks from today and counting!

Looking at the 10 day weather for Orlando currently, you may need jeans (capris) and a light sweatshirt. Nights are in the mid 60's right now. I'm hoping it will warm up by May since we normally don't bring jeans.

We're 19 days away, so I hope the temperatures will get better, somewhere like we've had here for the last three days (low eighties), which is ridiculously hot for mid-april! But tomorrow we're already down to the mid fifties, which is pretty normal for this time of the year.

So... low eighties please!

I'm hoping it gets a bit warmer there too! Atleast for the nights (mid 60's there). I guess I can't complain seeing as how its snowing here right now with a temp of 34.

OKW May 7th - 16th. Can't wait. 21 more days

I hear you there! I just eMailed my brother. He lives in Central Florida. I am curious to know if sweaters and jeans are in order for early May. Hmmm.. If so, I will have to rearrange the suitcases to make room again! :upsidedow

Normally I never have to take jeans or sweaters but the low temps during the evening hours are making me think twice this yr.

Did you really pack your suitcases already? Wow, I'm not planning on doing that the day before I leave! :rotfl: And maybe check on some things the day before that, but that's it! :)

We leave in 24 days and I am starting to pack this week. With seven of us going for 10 days, I need to be ORGANIZED! This week is perfect because we are having a huge Nor'easter so we are all inside anyway! I do the whole everyday gets packed in a ziploc and labeled so the children can just pull out the day we need and go! It's worked really well for us the last few trips. I do think I will make sure we have an extra sweater or two for this years unpredictable weather patterns!:laundy:

we leave in 36 days and I have a laundry basket filled with the kids stuff until right in the suitcase they go. With little kids and a lot of new shorts and shirts were in order which helps too. The closer it gets the harder it is to be organized as well.:cool2:

I'm all packed too! I actually start in Jan. (we go every year in May)
My DS (13), DS (6) and DD (2) all out grow there summer clothes every year so as I buy them, I just put them right in the suitcase. For me, I lost alot of weight so I had to buy all new summer clothes too!. My DH is the only one with last years clothes packed. Since we live in the Buffalo area and it snows up till the time we leave, I have no use for them before our vacation.... Which by the way is in 3 weeks!!!!:thumbsup2

I have packed already. :woohoo: With four kids under age eight, I felt the need to get ready a little early. Plus, I'm anxious!! :rotfl: I don't want the last few days to be too hectic.:goodvibes

I just read that tomorrow is supposed to be 84F. I guess it is just weird like our season has been. We leave in 18 days!

If I would start packing now, my boyfriend would definately send me away to a mental institution :) But, with kids and not needing your summer clothes before the trip, it makes more sense!

I've been wearing my summer clothes for four days now (like I said, we're having the warmest april EVER!), but tomorrow the temperatures will drop, so I probably won't need my summer clothes anymore before our trip... but the weather is very unpredictable these days and I don't like packing and then unpacking again.

And it's only the two of us, so we'll have our suitcases ready in an hour or so :)
