Anyone do Picnic in the Park at AK?

Just curious how picnic in the park is...I'm thinking it might be a lunch option at AK - something different. Can you order your lunch when you get to AK in the morning and then pick it up around 12:30-1pm? How was the food? Are there enough "good" places to eat?

We're on DxDP and I'm assuming it will be 1 credit per person. Any input would be appreciated.

AK stopped offering the picnic in January 2010, designating it "seasonal." I was there last weekend and it was not being offered. There is a grab and go at the Beastly Bazaar where you can get sandwiches, drinks and desserts, but the pre-ordered picnic with chicken and hot or cold sides has not re-emerged.

That's too bad! We did the 2-person sandwich option in December and thought it was a wonderful change from typical theme park fare. Loved the reusable tote they gave us, as well!

You can still get the same sandwiches if you go to the grab & go. Don't think you can get the tote, though - or the side dishes - I think they have chips.

Thanks for the update! I think we'll try Yak & Yeti ..CS or TS, not sure have DXDP so can do either...
