Hope you are having fun if you are! Just trying to get a feel for the crowds, and waits for attractions. I've been checking the Disney app, and the waits have appeared manageable. Just wanted to get a sense from people who are on the ground in the parks. My family and I will be there next week.

Thanks and Happy Holidays!

Didn't go into the parks but was there today visiting the hotels and DtD. The place was deserted. Arrived at10:30am, plenty of parking spots available and NO TRAFFIC. It was unreal. No lines at security either. The restaurants were all dead at lunchtime.

According to the app, wait times were super low for most rides. It didn't even rain today.

Methinks Disney is going to regret blacking out these two weeks and creating that top level AP...

It rained until about 9 this morning and it's raining now.

You really can't gauge crowds for the week after Christmas on the week before Christmas, or even from one day to the next at this time, unfortunately.

It has rained hard the last few days (well, for Southern California) and a larger storm is coming in tonight for the weekend. The Locals don't like this type of weather, and would want gloves and heavy jackets to attend. (So those visiting, they think we are wimps, and I guess we are guilty...)

I am glad I got a new super high efficiency Gas House Heater as part of my new HVAC system.

I've been monitoring the app as well. I've noticed that TOT has been stuck on a 13 minute standby wait for the last couple of days. Is that just Disney trying to be cute?

They use that when it's a walk on.

And lately, ToT has had wait times averaging 60-90min...

Well, it is 9:30 PM and I don't hear the Fireworks.... But the rain has also got heavier....

I was there in Disneyland only on Friday, and except during the Christmas parade and a couple times in adventure land, I hardly felt the crowds. A lot of the rides were walkons or very short waits, even during the afternoon.

For example, jingle cruise was less than 5 minute wait during afternoon. Getting a dole whip, there was a very short line. Buzz was a walk on in the morning. Pirates was busy sometime, but other times in the afternoon there was almost no line outside the ride. IASW was a literal walk on in the morning. First thing we did was sign up for Jedi training, so that took some time away too. When we went to pixie hollow in the morning around 9:30, we were the only one there. Peter Pan was about 5 minute wait at 730. Dumbo was a walk on in the morning.

I was able to do about 5 extra rides then I planned for, and we were going slow, and left the park at 7pm. We started at 7am, and got a lot/most done in fantasyland during magic hour till 9am.

I'll be in DCA on Saturday, looks like some morning rain again.

We braved the rain (yay for serious rain gear!) and had a blast at DL tonight. Walked on everything (twice in a row for some rides) except PP (and that was only a 15 minute wait -- can't remember the last time that happened). Got our own private boat on POTC. Soup in a bread bowl hit the spot. Overall a super fun evening!

We were there 12/19-12/23. All I can say is crowds were way lighter then we were expecting and many rides we walked on. Battled some rain but we are from WA so no biggie to us. We've been spring break and it's chaos...this week was fantastic in comparison.

Parades and fireworks were cancelled a few times during our stay. Got a front row view of WOC by just walking up minutes before it started on Monday. Keeping locals blocked out worked out fantastic for this traveler!

Sounds like a great time to be in the park, other than the rain. Hope you can provide a quick report on today's visit to DCA.

Happy Holidays.

I'm at DCA right now, so I'll keep it short. The lines were short until about 1pm, now they are longer. TOT was a walk-on since that was first thing. Radiator racers was about 15 min wait. Toy story was 15 min. The other stuff I was on were short waits except for monsters Inc which was about as long as radiator racers, but I did that after the crowds started showing up. It's still not noticeably busier than a typical summer weekend

It isn't bad, except Soaring is only running one side. FP line is around Taste Pilots, and the standby line has maybe 50 people in it outside the building.
