Anyone cruising May 8, 2004 Western?

hope she feels well soon...

can't believe you are packed.. have not even thought about it.

hope your dd is better soon.

we're 98% packed, but then again we leave Thursday for a week at WDW before the cruise.

Ok, I am bumping up the post everyone, this is crazy....

You guys are slacking...

Tell me what you did last night?
Tell me about the weather?
Tell me a joke?

Someone say something!!!

You guys I told you the more you chat the faster the time will go??!

Where is everyone?

Ok, you made me do it...JOKE!!

(this was my daughters joke:
What do you get when you cross a bat and a bell?

aprilgail2, I hope your daughter gets to feeling better. I have a 5
year old grand-daughter that has graduated from a nebulizer to
a long plastic tube where the inhaler is inserted and she does it
herself. She was 5 days old when I was watching her and she
turned blue. If you could see my grand-daughter you would
know by her coloring that her turning blue is hard to see, but I
saw it. After about 3 months of telling my daughter she was
having colds, they decided she was born with asthma. It is a
scarey thing at times. I'm probably going to bore you guys at the
meet with pictures of my grand-children, LOL.

We are all packed too, except for curling iron, hair dryer, contact
things, etc. I cannot wait. I need to get away from things for a
while.

Aprilgail,
I know how you feel lugging all that stuff around. Although my daughter has gotten better thru the years...she still has asthma and bronchitis and when she gets a cold she seems to take it to the extreme. She has had pnemonia 3 or 4 times since she was born and its just plain AWFUL.
I hope your daughter gets better so you both can enjoy your trip.

Meesh

I think everyone else jumped ship....

Well, my ice coffee is now warm it had WAAAAAy too much shuga in it this am...UGH! BLEHK!! :confused3

Now I am bouncing off the walls!!! :cool1:
:jumping1:

Less than 8 days to go!! whoohooo :hyper2:

And I seriously have to ask...what is this??? :jumping4: LOL

:rolleyes1 oh, and the answer to my joke before was a DINGBAT!!
I know... but if you were six that was extremely funny!!

MEESH :flower1:

aprilgail2 - Hope your DD gets well soon. Heres some pixie dust heading your way for a good DR's evaluation. Let us know how things are going.

msh8675 - Everyone is awake. I heard you shouting... So what do you get "when you cross a bat and a bell?" BTW - Your DD is just adorable. I hate to be you when she gets to be a teenager.

Weather/Pool and other update - Wow simply amazing - Yesterday it was 101 in the sun and 89 in the shade. Today should be about the same. Due to the bantering of my DW and DS, I have turned on the pool heater this morning. Temp before heating - 67 degrees. I bet it is only up to around 75 when I get home. Maybe I will take a quick dip but DS will be happy when he gets home from school. Wish all of you could be here - We could have a huge Mickey BBQ. Well only 10 more days for us as we leave on Friday. Time is moving too quick but that is only because I need to get so much done at work. You will notice me posting less as the time gets nearer so don't think I am ignoring anyone if they post a question to me. See you in a couple of hours. - Mike

Thank you...i know i have my hands full with her....it will be confirmed when you get to meet her and know her personality...
too bad the pixie dust wont' keep her at age 6...

Oh, a bat and a bell....a DINGBAT!! Just in case you didn't read up...

Well it was pouring here this am and now it is bright and sunny and if I had to guess its prolly around 58-60 degrees. I guess us East coast people would be happy with 60 as we had a long cold winter!

Take care and enjoy your dip!!

Meesh

msh8675 -I put a link in your other thread for the packing info. And if he pixie dust really worked on aging, I would have used it about 20 years ago. LOL - Mike

msh8675 - What did you do with KC? He normally posts more during the day. He must be off packing after reading his last post.- Mike

That list was sooo long, but i did get quite a bit out of it.

I also realized that 2 or 3 plugs is plenty for me, as long as there is one in the bathroom or by a mirror for the blowdryer!! LOL

I added a whole bunch of other stuff to my list...although I am narrowing it down. I am trying to get my father to lend me his binoculars, even tho I don't have a veranda, I think they will be fun for other things...

And the walkie talkies? Good idea or not. I have a pair of the cheapo two ways? I dunno...i guess it wouldnt' hurt to bring them but between everything else and me being the only adult traveling...the more i can keep home the better...lugging more useless stuff.

I need a water cam. Can't decide if bringing the video camera is worth it. You know you never want to be the one holding the video camera cuz you miss out on the fun. But I thought, it would be cute to have some things on camera, like if DD gets picked to go up on a show or playing with the kids in the pool. I dunno, lots of extra space and stick with the still photos? Opinions please?

I am exhausted today...not enough sleep last night!! boohoo :o

Mike thanks for that list it was very helpful...lots of things that were good to know. ::yes::

Miss Mass signing out for Tuesday...

Talk to you all tomorrow

Maybe his DW packed him...

Either that or my joke was so funny he fell off his chair?

((ok scratch that last one))

HMMMMMM.......Come out come out wherever you are!!!!

I will have to bribe him with conch coolers...
:drinking1 :drinking1 :drinking1 :drinking1 :drinking1

Maybe he has been abducted by aliens?:space:

:confused3 I pretty much talked to myself all day....Everyone is so busy it seems between work, packing and so on....
I can't wait to sit back and take a deep breath and twirl the little umbrella in my drink!!! :hyper:

:cool1:

tick tock....:rolleyes1

I'd skip the two way radios. I know some of the big groups use them but unless you have a specific reason you need them, leave the weight behind (not on your behind). Just thought I would throw that one in there for laughs. LOL - Mike

None of the above, I was stuck in a training class all day away from my computer and my Dis friends.. but the day did go fast!!

and I agree with Mike.. no radios, and please no extra weight anywhere!! I can't afford to get any more..

As for the Aliens... HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

Meesh, I also agree with Mike your daughter looks like a doll, good luck..

Nah, you won't need the walkie talkies. Where are you going to go? There's only 964 feet. If you separate from whoever you're separating from, just plan a meet time. I'd leave the home.

As for the video camera. Depends on how you're going to use it. Video tape the entire sail away party? Tape all of Golden Mickeys? Tape 18 minutes of sailing out of port?? BORING. Now, tape your dd going down the Mickey slide a couple of times. Tape her skipping along deck 4. Tape a few minutes of her playing in the sand on CC. Now THAT is good video. Nothing worse than having someone say "sit down, let me show you our family video of xyz" and have it be 2 hours of boredom. I like video, but my motto is "less is more." We even have tapes from our early video days that I dread seeing. Oh my gosh, my ENTIRE wedding ceremony is so blasted boring start to finish (don't tell dh I said that) I typically fast forward to the "good parts." Like this reply, video that goes on forever gets boring! ;)

Hi everyone,

DH and I are on this cruise and will plan to be at both Dismeets.

Nursegardner: We are also going to Chankanaab to snorkel. Please pm me if you are interested in sharing a taxi.
