You expect 2 million Americans to die this year from coronavirus? To put it in perspective 60,000 die from the flu each year. That is a lot of funerals.
That would mean that over 90% of the US population gets infected with this virus. That's pretty unlikely.

The mortality rate is 1-2% so far. But it's probably lower since people can get infected, but their condition isn't bad enough for them to go to a hospital.
