We received a Goofy Toontown house for Christmas. It is too cute. Does anyone know anything about the history of these houses? How long have they been out? Do they retire? Will they be available next year? Do they add to the collection every year? Any ideas for displaying them?

Would appreciate any information.

They came out sometime in 1999. My parents purchased them in September of 2000 at the 12 Days of Christmas Shop at the Marketplace in WDW. This year they were in the Disney Catalog, and at the parks.

1999:

Mickey's House
Minnie's House
Goofy's House
Donald's Boat - retired, although it was available at DL before Christmas

2001:

Fire Station
City Hall
Chip & Dale's Treehouse

2002:

Courthouse
Five & Dime

I thought I had read somewhere that these houses were being retired, starting with Donald's Boat and goofy's house next.

Check out Ebay. They are getting @ $250 for Donalds boat!

Wife won't sell hers :( . I even told her 1 more night at the Poly, but she still wouldn't go for it. She must LOVE those houses!

Hold on to that Goofy's House....it retired in 2002! :D

I had the Mickey and Minnie flat houses - they are cut out of hard wood and they are three deminsional.

They have great detail - I think the designer was Sheila.

Does anyone else have these.
