I found most of these at a yard sale in a box for $1. I don't even know where most come from. Anyone else collect things like this?

I have a few. Mine are mostly characters that I collect. Tinker Bell & Peter Pan and gang, Pinocchio & Jiminy & Gang. I have found very few Alice ones, and none of Sword in the Stone.

I have found them at WDW, DL, Toys R us and other toy stores. Sometimes stores sell them in packaged sets. I have a couple of Peter Pan ones that came in a video like package, they are from Japan. Also some older Happy Meal toys used to be made of this PVC material.

Japan has sold some in machines, like we do here with candy and bubble gum. Those are cute.

Toys R Us has had some for $1.00. The ones from the parks are usually $3-$3.25 each. The sets are about $10 depending where you find them.

Very cute inexpensive (for the most part) collectibles.

My DS collected hundreds of these over the years.

The first picture is mostly Happy Meal toys. The second picture is mostly figures purchased at retail stores or at WDW.

The third picture are the two versions of Drawf sets that they sold in WDW. The ones on the right are the earlier set.

They used to have an incredible asst. of figures in the shop at Germany. Every trip to WDW included a stop there to load up on the latest toys. I don't think that they have them anymore. It's a shame. It's a fun, relatively inexpensive hobby for the kids to enjoy.

My whole family collects toys like that. We have most of what you have. You really hit the jackpot!

Any idea how old the Dwarfs are? I have a few of the others but nothing like what you have. Great collection.

As best as I can tell, some of the dwarves are fairly new (90's).. the other set is a bit older as it has "Walt Disney Productions" labelled on it. I haven't gotten hold of a Disney collectors book to check the ages for definite, though.

When I saw the title of the thread, I thought, I wanted people to post more, but isn't this sort of, well, a personal question?

But then I saw the pictures . . . . . . Anyway . . .

I am not an expert on this stuff, but I believe that some of it may be quite valuable. If Deb-EpcotKilterFan checks in later, she may know about some of the McDonald's pieces.

Hi!
I was at Toy's 'R Us yesterday. I didn't buy anything but I noticed they had a vending machine, near the exit, with those plastic capsules with toys inside. One machine had Disney figures in it. You know I didn't check the price but it takes quarters. I live in the Chicago suburbs so I don't know if all the stores in the United States have these machines or not.

Regina,

We also miss the PVC's they used to have in Germany. Those were actually the first thing my DD collected from WDW. There were so many to choose from, and they were nicer than most others because they were hand painted. Now, the toy store mostly sells dolls. Too bad.:(
