How long does it take to get vouchers? We are leaving November 18th and I wasn't sure if we would get the vouchers in time.

I appreciate any info. :goodvibes

I ordered mine on a Monday and they arrived here on that Friday.

Took less than a week to get my voucher. You should be fine.

you can buy them at the parks or guest services in downtown disney. we are leaving the fourth and member sercies said we could buy them at the parks and get it validated then. goodluck. from what i read the benefit of getting early is for the dining card. we are not getting that so we want to pay the latest as possible. goodluck and have an awesoem trip

It took a week to get ours in the mail. But as RichieGraciemom said, you can buy them just the same when you get to Orlando.

GOOD LUCK!

Thanks for the all the info. Guess I'll have to check with the husband and see if we are getting the DDE.

If we buy and activate our AP's during our Nov. trip can we wait to buy our DDE card until our end of Jan 06 trip? Will that be good for the one year from then or only good until our AP expires?

You can oreder the DDE anytime - all you need is an AP/PAP voucher or an active AP/PAP. The DDE cards are good for 12 -13 months from purchase. The range is to make up for shipping & handling time. You can let your AP expire if you like and still use the DDE card until it expires.

Best wishe s-

The only requirement for ordering the DDE card is that you have a valid AP or at least a voucher. The dates of your DDE membership are not tied to the dates of your AP so you could wait until Jan '06 to order the DDE card. The DDE card will expire at the end of the month in which you order it plus one year. If you order it in Jan '06 it will expire on Jan 31, 2007. If you order late in the month, the expiration will probably be at the end of Feb '07. If your AP expires partway through your DDE membership, your DDE card is still valid. You need a valid AP/voucher when you purchase the DDE but there is no requirement that you continue to maintain a valid AP during that year of DDE membership.

The only thing to think about here is whether Disney will continue to offer the option for AP holders to purchase the DDE after this year. This benefit was made available for the first time this year (starting Jan '05). I'm sure hoping they continue it next year and for years to come!

Hope this helps!

My trip is still a couple of weeks away but I am THRILLED to have ordered an AP and the DDE...6 of us are going just for a long weekend but I am sure I will more than pay for the $50 DDE with savings from food and wine consumed that weekend alone. Then there's the next trip ( or two! )

You don't need vouchers. Just select "pick up" or "will call" -- I am unsure which term they use on the site anymore. You get an email confirmaion which you print and take to the guest services at the parks to exchange for yout APs.

I was thinking the same thing. Hopefully if it ends, it will only end for new membership and let us holders renew each year. That would work for me. Also, I just ordered 2 new AP/vouchers and it took about 10 days to arrive. I didn't need them since we both just renewed, but thought I would stash them away for the future since we don't know how long the DVC AP perk will last either.

I could be wrong, but I don't think the DDE card includes alcohol.

It does include alcohol -- that's one of the things that is so great about DDE, especially considering what Disney restaurants charge for one glass of wine!

takes me about 10 days to get mine, I have ordered 1 a month for the last 4 months.

Waiting on the last one and the DDE card to arrive.

We purchased the Disney Dining Experience card in May ($50) for the year. The card paid for itself in two meals. We just got back and used it again. This was a great investment. It gives us a chance to eat from time to time and some of the better restaurants. You not only save money on the meal, but liquor as well. We had a fantastic meal at California Grill and splurged on a $55 bottle of wine, because of the discount. Ask for the server "Bill", who is their Sommeliare (the man who purchases their wines). His knowledge of wine and food pairing was fantastic. He helped me decide on my entree'. The food and atmosphere is wonderful. They just put a new sound system outside and watching the MK fireworks out there was so nice. You can also see it from your table, as the windows go all around. They dim the lights and have the audio playing. It's a very different view from watching it at the Castle. This was third time at Callifornia Grill, needless to say, we love it.

It definitely includes alcohol...just got back from the food & wine, and both the food we ate and the wine we drank got the 20% discount. What a deal this card is...paid for itself and then some the first three nights we were there, not to mention the upcoming trip in January and the next one in May!

That is fast mine was around 8 weeks! Do you have a link to order online? I thought you could only order DDE cards by phone or mail.
How long would you allow for a renewal?
