hope someone can help me..........

we want to go with the QSDP and have been told that we have to go through our tour operator and get the disney passes a the same time, well this is fine but heard on the grapevine that we have to go to the welcome meeting to collect voucher and change for actual ticket!!! does anyone know if this is true?

also because of this tried booking DP and tix through wdw travel agents and was told we can't because we have not got our holiday booked with them :confused3

now don't know what to do, don't need to do welcome meeting as been twice before

maybe someone can shed some light on this please :)

Not sure about the welcome meeting as I have never booked through Thomson, but I can confirm that no matter who you book through, to add any of the dining plans, you have to book room, tickets and Dining Plan at the same time. Unless you book through Disney directly in which case, as long as you have booked a room you can add the tickets and dining to turn it into a package.

To get the free ddp you have to have everything through same TA
If paying for it carn`t se a problem

You still have to book it together through the same TA whether you pay for it or not. DDP has to be part of a ticket and room package. :goodvibes

Ive just booked my flights for next July with Thomson - normally book online, but was actually cheaper over the phone and they let me just pay a low deposit (payment in full online for flight only)thumbsup2.

Booked OKW through Quidco with cashback which links direct to disney site - and got free DDP. :cool1:

Has worked much cheaper this way - always book with Thomson as we can fly from our local airport EMA (25mins away) and prices seem to be cheaper at the moment than the schedulled with more legroom than some.

We booked with Thomson a few weeks ago (POR, QSDP and 14 day tickets), I just assumed you would get the ticket added onto your room key at reception when checking in?

I hope this is the case as we won't have a car to get to anywhere for a welcome meeting (plus we never go to welcome meetings!)

so paul
we get tickets as room keys still?? no changing of vouchers? i know the last 2 time we went virgin stayed all star movies and the park passes were your room keys, is it still like this?

we are just going to get the DP and passes with thomson its a lot less bother lol

i dont need them seperate, just wanted to know if the passes will be on the room card key like they were years ago like in 2001 when i first went lol

have heard i need to exchange a voucher (which i have to go to the welcome meeting to get) for the park passes

We went with Thomson last year and you did get vouchers which we were told to pick up at the welcome meeting. We complained about this and they agreed that the rep at the airport will have them. This worked well and we exchanged the vouchers for tickets at DTD that evening.

We were staying offsite, so maybe different if staying onsite as I have heard other friends that have just added the tickets to their room keys uopn arrival.

As your booking is a disney hotel you will be on there system so they will have the details of what you will have all disney ask for is a photo id
As another poster says pick up(or ask them) from airport its within your rights you don't have to go to a welcome meeting
Paul

I have booked the DDP through Thomson several times and picked up my KTTW card at check in, which had my DDP and my tickets on.

You only have to go to welcome meeting to collect tickets if staying offsite :goodvibes

ahhhh thank you guys for helping clear that up for me :thumbsup2

my mind is thinking straight now :rotfl:
