hi guys we have just booked this cruise for me and my family (daughter 13 & son 3) - this will be our 3rd disney cruise We did the FE gifts on our last cruise in April this year and the kids loved it so very kean to do it again. Are any of you on facebook and do you know if there is a facebook group set up for this cruise as we found this a great way to keep in touch with out fellow cruisers. We are from England and live about an hour from London

Hi I have set up a group on facebook called "Disney Dream Cruise 15th April 2012" for all people on this cruise that want to ask any questions or just want to get to know each other before the cruise. Are you a teacher? We've got 2 more days here. I've been so busy wrapping up the school year I haven't had time to think about the trip but soon I'll have plenty of time to feed my obsession!

irishone21- yup, severe needs special ed grades 9-12. I get 1 full week off then Im back for extended school year programming until august.
my obsession is what gets me through the school year!

On our last cruise, we ordered lanyards for our group of DISers (Jen aka Nenner1 took on the project). Here's a picture of them (also Nenner1's photo):

She printed the insert with the "logo" and everyone's name and/or screen name (if wanted - ours were blank). I've gotten the info from Jen and am happy to take on the project, if enough people are interested in getting them. I believe there is a minimum order, so I guess it will depend on interest if we do order them. They were helpful in identifying people we had "met" online, and helped us stand out a bit more than the Castaway Club ones.

If I remember correctly (and my memory is not always correct), they were about $3 each.

I do like the designs that include the beach. I like the patriot Mickey with the beach behind him. After all, we will be on the cruise on Patriots Day.

I'll probably use something like that, but without the words. The word "cruizin" has me cringing...(Yes, yes I am crazy).

Here is a thread where I requested and got some ideas for the logo. I hope to start working on it tomorrow (my day off).

Of all the designs, I like the "last" one best - the painted flag with the Mickey in it. But, I love the design from your last cruise - could we do something similar with the ship inside a red, white and blue Mickey head and maybe a colonial Mickey outside since Patriots' Day does celebrate the Battle of Lexington? Just a thought.

Oh, I started a google doc spreadsheet so people could list the members of their party, and sign up for FE and the DIS meet. I added a column to show whether they were interested in a lanyard. Here's the link so any new people please add yourselves and others please update. Thanks!

I'll see what I can do. I have a friend who is a PhotoShop pro. I'm not sure she'll get to it today, but between the two of us, I bet we can get it done by middle of next week

Thanks for adding the lanyard column. I know I'm going to want an extra for our scrapbook, so maybe make a number column instead?

Ive been tinkering around and cant find a great colonial mickey, but do agree that he's what we need for our logo.

I thought it was just me cringing over the "cruizin"..lol, glad to see I'm not alone

I'm having a really hard time coming up with a "colonial" Mickey image. There must be one around Liberty Square though!
