Anyone Booked For Next Mar-april?

Has anyone booked their flights for next spring? Trying to find a good deal out of Halifax for the end of March or anytime in April. Anything that I have seen so far looks quite high. Maybe prices have gone up a lot, we paid $400. taxes included this year.

Hi Dennise,

We are looking at going back at the end of April, 2006. I have been watching for flights (mostly on Canjet as I have vouchers with them) and the schedules for Westjet and Canjet have not yet been posted out that far.
If Canjet's fares remain consistent with their current fares for February, I believe a round trip will cost approximately $460/person. They are also the only direct carrier out of Halifax (other than maybe charters). I believe AC's rates show around $605/person with a stop in TO.
I have been watching since we returned mid-April and prices have not changed much, if at all, so this might be as good as it gets.

Thanks for the info. Being direct are you restricted to 7 or 14 days? We usually go for 11 or 12, depending on whether we can get Good Friday included. We went with AC last year with the stop in TO. Have been watching Delta, they did have a rate of $483, but now are right up there with AC. I will keep watching for the Canjet and Westjet rates.

Yes, Canjet is restrictive on flight dates - traditionally YHZ-MCO flights are Sundays only (both ways). I believe they have a connection through Ottawa or Hamilton on Saturdays that you can probably do for the same cost, but it only buys you less than one full day with the extra travel time.

BUT!!

Westjet announced a seat sale for fares good through September, and their OW was $179 from YHZ-MCO....which brings it right into line with Canjet. I'm HOPING that they'll offer a similar rate later on for 2006 travel... We're hesitent to fly with Canjet because it's only the once/week flight from YHZ, and Sat through YOW. What happens if we book, flight isn't full enough and they pull it, weather cancellations...

So I'm sticking with watching AC, WJ, and the American carriers...if weather delays or cancellations pop up in February, at least we have transportation options for the day before or after....but gosh, $2500 for four to fly from YHZ is just too much to book right now..that's $1000 more than we paid last year!

We waited for Air Canada sale last year and still paid over $500 per person out of Fredericton. We could driven 3 hours to Bangor, Maine and got it as low as $320. I like to fly from close to home but the extra $600(3 people) is alot of extra mouse bucks!!!

We just went in March, and paid 250cnd out of Maine. We are doing the cruise next march break, and I am looking at Manchester on Southwest. I really want to do our airfare for under 200 this time. We live in Fredericton, and don't mind the drive at all.
