Just booked for hippie mom and myself a Nov 9, 2003 cruise. As many times as I've been to Disney (3rd DCL cruise for me - too many times at WDW to count) Mom and I have never done one Disney thing together. Should be so much fun!!! Especially since she's a total organic, free-range health nut. :-) But hey, she's one heck of a woman at 60 and can run circles around me. Now if I can keep her from absconding with any of the lovely young CM guys... :smooth:

Come have a blast with us!!

I hope you all have a really fun time. I know I'm hoping to!! :-):jester:

Just add on another four days an join us!! :D

I'll be there on 11-9 with my husband, 3 little monsters, my dad,
brother, sister in law and their baby. :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :bounce:
How old is mom? I love the hippie organic type! I CAN'T WAIT. We've never cruised. We've done Disney more times that we can count too but never cruised before in our lives!

I will be there with my husband and almost 3 yr old Jake!! It is our first cruise and I am SO excited! Which stateroom are you in? We are in 7010.......but have secret yearnings for a verandah upgrade ! ha! ha!

Oooooh...so close. We're going on November 13th. You'll be getting off while we're getting on. So far I think we're only ones cruising on the 13th. ;)

Sounds like we're all going to have a great time on Nov 9. It's my mum's first time cruising too. I would never have imagined her doing something like this, but at 60 she's liable to do anything. She took a 2 week backpacking trip to Chile at 50 and now at 60 a Disny cruise...what next!!!

We will all have fun. Let's meet up and keep chatting. Are you all eating early or late?? Maybe we can get together a large table or the adults could eat at Palo's one night.

I'm so excited. You first timers are absolutely going to love the cruise and the ship. It is very, very beautiful, not Las Vegas style at all like most cruise ships. You step onboard and feel that you have gone back in time to the old cruising days, but then you realize it's Disney and know that you can throw on a pair of shorts and dance with Goofy...a perfect blend...a perfect cruise. (Hey, should I be writing commercials for DCL or what) :D

Keep in touch...I'm also at Francisca64@aol.com.

I've been checking the boards to see whose on our sailing (November 16 - 4 night Wonder) and we'll miss you all by one week. Oh well, have a great time!!!!

I told my dad (recently widowed) and really good looking 69 year old that there is an energetic 60 year old I'm hooking him up with on the cruise. He just laughed. But seriously, I'd love to meet up on the boat. We are in cabin 5131 (I think, could be wrong, memory isn't what it used to be after 3 kids!) My little guy is 2 1/2 and full of energy. I hope there is A LOT OF PLEXIGLASS! I'm not sure which dinner seating we have yet. You can e-mail me at kaykels@aol.com and we'll chat. CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!!
I have a question and I know it's been covered but I'm still confused. My girls are 7 and 9 and they really don't want to be seperated. However, my 7 year old isn't close to being 8. How is Disney about that?
OKAY, GOING TO PASS TIME, WATCH THE CALENDER AND DREAM OF SETTING SAIL!

DH and I will be on our 1st cruise then! Sorry, can't remember what stateroom number,...I'll have to get back to you. I know we've got late seating. We can't wait!!!

Just thought I'd post what I wrote to Kaykels since I mentioned my room number - also we have late seating, but for any early seaters we can all get together for lunch or do a Palos night together:

Boy, I wish we were meeting up on the Sept 28 cruise I'm on with my children. My daughter is 7 also, but this cruise is just Mum and myself.

Don't worry, from what I've read Disney doesny mind at all if your girls buddy together. It's their vacation and should be comfortable at all times. I think you can go either way with the age groups.

My mum would probably love to meet up with your dad. She's going through a divorce and it's pretty tough on her. Some nice adult company would be good for her. But I have to warn you, she's beautiful and very young looking...we might end up sisters!
:-)

Your 2 1/2 year old will be really safe. It's all plexiglass and very child proof. I remember taking my daughter when she was 18 month on NCL, I was constantly running after her because it was not at all childproof. Needless to say, it was before DCL and I was one tired vacationer! :-)

OK, keep in touch...By the way I think we're in cabin 5129, maybe neighbors??? :-)

Hi KarenTX,
Glad I'm not the 1st timer on our cruise. Let's cross our fingers and hope we are not prone to motion sickness. I think we are the second seating for dinner as well. Look me up, I'll be the one chasing the energetic 2 year old around. Hopefully he'll tire early! Do you know which deck you are on? We are on deck 5 AFT. I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!

Another mum with an energetic 2, almost 3 yr old!!! I will be the one trying to stop my son from jumping overboard to swim with the fishes!!!!! We are in stateroom 7010 and we have the early seating for dinner because of my son!!!

Would love to met up though! If anyone wants to e-mail me my address is: eddie.debs@virgin.net

You'll have such a great time. YMaybe you and Rachel could get your sons together to play then there would be four sets of eyes watching two boys. :-) Anyway, I'm sure the you two mums will not gain an ounce on the ship with all the running around you'll be doing!! :bounce:

We'll definitely set up a meet time. A lot of Dis folk meet on the first dayaround 3 it seems, before lifeboat drill, perhaps at that time, but I'd think we'd all be pretty tired with the travel and rush to get reservations for everything. Does anyone have a suggestion? I'll be going with my two children, solo, on Sept. 28. Maybe at that time I can get a feel for when would be a good time and where would be a good place to meet.

Let's keep chatting!!! I know we're all excited. My last cruise on DCL was in 2000 (my 15th anniversary with ex), so I am really looking forward to the Sept cruise. I can't wait to see it through the eyes of my children.:D
