I might need a flight from San Francisco to LA next Easter. Anyone booked a flight like this from the UK? Do you need a US address for this?

I asked when booking my trans-atlantic flights with BA and they quoted silly prices.

Regards

Rob

Have you actually booked your transatlantic flights? If not check out United Vacations - they would give two free stopovers - almost anywhere in USA. Their prices are reasonable too.

I was going to post this very same question rob.
Next July Manchester United have a pre season football tour in the States, and DH and a group of friends are starting to look in to the cheapest way of going.
There will be 4 different matches ( Seattle, L.A., New Jersey, & Philidelphia ), so they will need a few internal flights.
He's had a look on a few websites but they all seem pretty expensive. The cheapest flights from UK to Seattle were £569, and the internal flights were around £150, so the £s will soon mount up.
Scottish maleficent - I've had a look on United Vacation's site, and they're only advertising flydrives, unless theres something I've missed(probably- knowing me :p )
I've book marked the site, and I'll give them a call tommorow.

I've used AirMiles to book my trans-Atlantic flights with BA, but they were quoting silly money for a SF-LA flight so I need to book this seperately.

travelocity.co.uk will sell you a ticket, no need for a US address with them - they are quoting from £46+tax

Just booked the flight through British Airways Executive Club who amazingly were cheaper than booking direct with the airline or via Travelocity!

We've booked Oakland Airport to Orange County Airport (the wonderfully named John Wayne Airport, which is closer to Disneyland than LAX), flying with Alaska Airlines. Travelocity and the airline where both quoting $95 per person, with an additional charge of $40 to post the tickets to the UK as Alaska Airlines don't have electronic ticketing.

I checked with the BA Executive Club just to see how much they were (yesterday they quoted a silly price for a London-San Francisco-LA-London itinery), and to my surprise they quoted £56 per person for the same flight with Alaska Airlines, saving £37 compared to the Travelocity price.

All we need to do now is book car hire and our hotel near Disneyland and our California trip is all arranged. Can't wait!

Rob,

I've alreday replied on the other post but couldn't resist it here as well.A great result with those flights:cool:

When I was loking at internal flights for next October (as I've booked with Virgin in to New York and home form Orlando)I found a site that has really cheap prices (I think!) and also fly to Las Vegas, see what you think www.jetblue.com it seems a very reasonable price for the New York to Orlando flight?

The dates only go up to April at the moment and the price is $224 for April ,seems very expensive(but only $79 for March) But I'm sure I tried for November when I found the site and it was about $100.I will have to wait much closer to the time to see how much October will be then:rolleyes:
