Hi!

Just wondered if anyone has ever booked a flight directly through the airline.
Is there anywhere to buy insurance (cancellation and baggage) if you do go through the airline? :flower:
Thanks!

I always book my flights directly with the airline.

Not through the airline unless you are buying one of their vacation packages which includes more than flight. you would have to go independent on that one - often you can get insurance through your credit card company (CharlesTD would know more about that) or another company such as Travel Guard.

Thanks for the reply. I will check into credit card companies before I book. Can you choose your seats online as well? ::MinnieMo

you can link right through to the insurance on the purchase page:)

And if you're using the call centre, the Res Agent should be able to help you out:)

HTH!!

We booked insurance through Westjet's website (quite reasonable and convenient because it is rolled into the same online billing).

Always!!! Go on line and check out the rates then call and see what is cheaper. I have to say the only time it was cheaper when I called directly was when we had a group over 10.
