Anyone book AKL fall 2007 with room only general public discount?

Did anyone book AKL room only using general public discount code during the fall of 2007? The code was available for booking 9/27/07 - 10/20/07 for check in dates 10/21/2007 - 12/23/07.

If you did, would you mind sharing with me what dates you booked for, room type at AKL and how much you paid per night (pre-tax)??

We would like to stay Dec 13-Dec 15 and just wondering if I should wait for a code or try to rent points from a DVC member.

This might help a little - in checking what DISer's reported getting with the CCF code for AKL last year here's a couple posts that I found:

CCF I just booked the AKL for a weeknight (thursday night), weekend pickings are slim. It was only $149. I already had a 3 night stay at the AKL for Thursday-Sunday using the FL Resident Code, but this was less expensive to use the general public code.

Planning a trip Nov 20-27. Staying offsite because we were at SSR in June. Wanted to spend a night or two onsite. Booked AKL standard view for two nights for $164 plus tax per night. Wanting to know if this is a good rate

I was trying to book online yesterday for AKL for Dec. 9-13, but it wouldn't let me book online for new code and I didn't feel like calling and talking to all the lovely CM's you guys were talking about - so I tried my AP rate for same time, and I got AKL for $145/night with $75 dining card . When I tried same dates this morning for AKL at room-only discount, it was $149/night for same dates, which is good too, but I saved $20 plus have $75 for eating out.

Not a huge amount, but I saved almost $90.00...
OLD code - 6 nights AKL 2A/1C 1 day base tix + dining $1868.09
NEW code - 6 nights AKL 2A/1C 1 day base tix + dining $1779.09
(I think the actual room rate is $149 x 4 nights then $164 x 2 nights)
So (in theory) the MVMCP tix I was going to buy anyway for $148 total are now only costing me $59.00.

The code is CCE for the phone, CCF online (but it doesn't appear that the website is accepting online ressies right now).

I called CRO around 11:30 and talked to an extremely friendly and helpful CM. I inquired about Deluxes for Dec. 9-13. These were the options I was given:
AKL Std 174 includes tax
BC Water 344
BC Std 274
WL Ctyd 229
SSR Studio 164
SSR 1 Bdrm Villa 255

Sadly, there was nothing at Poly , so I took the 1 Bdrm Villa, but now I'm considering changing to AKL or WL to save more $$$!!!

All I have written in "my notes" from that code was that the Pool View was $54 off at that time.

My IL's, however, went in regular season (early November) and got almost 40% their pool view room.

Booked a standard view room at AKL for $164 + tax per night from 12/5-15. We were upgraded to a savannah view room, so it ended up being a very good deal!!

I am working with a DVCer trying to rent points at the DVC at AKL. But due to the popularity of this property/small number of units at AKV, I may not be able to secure this reservation through the DVCer and then may try to book with CRO.

We stayed Oct. 22-26 in AKL standard view for $149/night. Had originally booked AP rate of $185/night plus $75 dining card, but the general public code worked out better for us. We are DVC members, but didn't have enough points, and we were going to rent, but there was no availability for that time so we just booked with cash.
Liked it so much at AKL that we're staying at the AKV on points in 35 days.
