Anyone been to Via Napoli at Epcot yet?

I know they opened last year, but I haven't heard much about the food or dining experience. Anyone care to share there two cents?:)

We ate their last September. It kind of reminded me of a cafateria and was really loud. Our family did enjoyed the food though. My son had their pizza and thought it was the best he'd eaten anywhere in Disney. I had a chiken dish that was yummy. We plan to eat here again in September.

I'm glad to hear it was good. Was it kid friendly?

It's definitely kid-friendly. All the restaurants in Epcot are, with the only exception being Bistro de Paris. They don't have a kids menu, but they have been known to get kids food from the Chefs de France menu. It's not that they don't welcome kids at Bistro, but the atmosphere is more upscale. I've seen kids there.

But since you're talking about Via Napoli, you'll be fine.

I remember that we were sitting between two families. The restaurant is loud enough that little ones, even loud ones, would not bother anyone. I, by the way, had Chicken Parmmgiana and my husband had the veal. I had never had spaghetti torta, it was different but really good. For dessert we shared the tiramisu and zeppole di ricotta. Both were excellent.

We've been there twice. Our first time was when it first opened and the food was much better than the second time and the service was good. There was a calamari pizza that was exceptional. The second time we were seated at the giant communal table in the middle. The food was okay, but the menu seemed to have been dumbed down from the first time. In addition, the service was unacceptably slow. The server and management was unapologetic - so much so that I wouldn't go back. Il Mulino in the Swan is much better and you usually don't need an ADR.

We've been there multiple times and enjoyed each one. Very different from Tuto Italia and so much better food.

My family had dinner there in December and enjoyed the pizza. It is loud and i felt that the dining room seemed bright.

We ate there in February and found it delicious! My DD has a dairy allergy and she really wanted to eat there and the manager was great with her ~ she was running the Princess Half the next morning and wanted carbs :) She had spent time in Italy in college so was chitchatting with the waiter ~ he was great!

I shared the pepperoni pizza with my DS and it was very good. I don't remember what the rest of my family had.

We are planning to go back in December :)

Food is sounding more and more tenpting as I try to choose the best Italian dining. But communal table??? I'm a little concerned about how this would play out with our family of 7.

They only have one communal table. If they offer it you could probably turn it down, but it may mean you could have to wait longer. The individual pizzas are expensive but they're huge. I eat half and take half with me.

We ate there last month. We thought the food was decent. Not great, but decent. What we didn't like was that it was very loud and the tables are literally on top of one another. Our waiter could barely stand between our table and the one beside us because they were so close together.

My family ate there in December and we enjoyed our meal. The calamari appetizer was really good - tender and crispy. The pizza was huge (enough for two of us) and I really liked the thin crust. The frutti de mare (seafood pasta) was really good. I liked the desserts - the tiramisu was light and the Coppa di Brutti Ma Buoni (ice cream) was really good.

The resturant was very bright and airy (vaulted ceiling). It was louder than Tutto. The service was good during the meal. We had some problems with the check and it took the server and two managers a while to figure out how to do a split check (part on the DDP and part OOP).

There was a communal table in the middle. It looked like they were seating multiple groups there, but we were lucky and were not seated there. Some of the groups were pretty large (6+), but there seemed to one group of 3, so I think they seat people there as it comes open. I would ask to be seated at a table.

Here are some pictures from the December lunch.

We enjoyed it. I had the regular pizza and minestrone and my friend had the pizza with four different things on it (forgot what it was called) and the calamari. It was all tasty but the pizza my friend got had each topping separated rather than mixed. They only do that with the one pizza though.

I did find the staff interaction rather odd. They have a group of women all lined up just waiting to take you to your table. Then it seemed as though our waiter had an assistant. The waiter was all friendly and smiley to us but then was rather angry with his assistant -- the waiter would quietly but harshly speak with him in a tone that was definitely yelling quietly.

But overall we thought it was good and would return.

The prosciutto and melon pizza sounds really strange, but it is delicious. We had heard about it from someone else and had to try it. We were really glad we did! ::MinnieMo

We really enjoyed it. The food was good, and we loved the atmosphere. The only downside for us was that 2 of us got pizza and it came out.. and the two of us that got pasta got our food 5-10 minutes later. In their defence they warned us this would happen. It wasn't a huge deal, but I would prefer to eat all together. Ds was done by the time our food came.
I don't know if that is typical or it was just that night. Like I said, they warned us so it wasn't a suprise. Just a little odd.

Awesome Pictures:thumbsup2 Thanks for sharing.

DH and I ate here in late January and we really enjoyed our meal. The atmosphere is great and we had stellar service. We shared a sausage and roasted red pepper pizza along with the family salad (which is served exclusively with their pizzas). The salad was so good:leaf lettuces, roasted red peppers, marinated mushrooms, olives, peperonicini, and red wine vinaigrette. I had a glass of wine and DH had a beer. We were too full for dessert. We will definately eat here on our next trip. Although we did not have our DS with us this trip, the place was full of kids and the place is very family friendly.

Dh and I went in Dec. We are NY pizza snobs. We really did NOT enjoy it.

Dh has even eaten pizza in Italy. He didnt care for it. I honestly cant remember what kind he had, the meat was practically non existent.

We asked for the salad. They gave us a hard time about it as they said its only for 2 people ordering pizza and I was not. They did give it to us finally.

I had the eggplant. The serving was very small and thinly cut. Here in NY it would be considered an appetizer portion and no way near the meal portion they served at Via Napoli.

The service was slow, so slow in fact we had to miss illuminations because of it. Drink refills were hard to come by as our server constantly disappeared. It was SO nosiy there. Watching them make the pizzas was entertaining.

We both disliked the side dish served with my eggplant. I had the coppa di bruti dessert, very good, almost like Tuttos. Dh had pistachio gelato and didnt care for it.

In a few weeks we are going back to Tutto Italia, which we like much better.
