I promised DD13 I would take her to see the midnight showing of Eclipse when they announced the date of 6/30. Fast forward a few months later, and I realize we will be in Orlando. DD13 is obsessed and has never been to a midnight movie. I can't remember how long its been for me, LOL.

How is it for movies? Is it always crowded? How far is it from the parking lot? Any recommendations? Thanks!

I have seen a few movies there. We usually get the meal deal which gives you a movie and a meal. It has never been crowded when we have been there. The theater is right at the end of the long walk from the garage. It is actually right at the beginning of citiwalk. I do remember it being very cold which was nice when we first went in but it did get to us after awhile. We usually valet park and walk up the stairs and your right there, very convenient. :thumbsup2

I went to see New Moon there about two weeks after it came out. I walked into the theatre just a minute or two before show time, and I was the only person in the theatre. There were a total of five of us by the time the movie started.

It was a nice theatre than the AMC theatre at DTD.

That being said, a midnight showing of Eclipse could be crazy. If you are definitely going to do it, you should look into buying the tickets in advance.

I did order the tickets online already:thumbsup2.

We went to see New Moon at 5pm the day it came out at home and that was pretty crazy. I can't imagine what this is going to be like:scared1:!

We go every year, and love the place, went to see the Simpsons midnight movie when it was released, take a jumper

We've seen both Chronicle of Narnia movies there. I like the theater. The last time we were there, they had a 8 foot tall Hulk statue on display.

We went to see My Bloody Valentine in 3D there last year. It's a nice theater complex.

We went on Friday to see "Toy Story 3" in 3D and enjoyed it. Have no idea what a midnight showing would be like!

I have been a couple of time and it has never been crowded.

There is a bar inside and heavier than normal snacks.

AP holders get $2 off (one per holder)

On a side note the last time we were at Citywalk, we learned that AP holders get free tokens each day at NBA city. ( I think it was 4 or 5 each)

The midnight premieres can draw a bit of a crowd, obviously depending on the movie. Lines to get into the "main" big theater are not uncommon for blockbusters. My friends and I will generally eat at CityWalk, start scoping things out around 10 or 10:30 to see if we should line up.

I think it's nice there.

That's the theater that all the kids go to around here.

From the parking lot, its the very first buiding you come to after you exit the last bridge. Its on the right as you walk towards the parks. From the terminal where the walkways from the 2 lots meet its about a 5-10 minute walk depending on your pace. At most.
As far as movies, if I am not mistaken there is 20 or 25 theatres. If they think Eclipse is going to be really big by the advance sales, theyll open up more than 1 theatre.

Ive seen several movies there from Rocky Horror Picture Show to Disney movies.
