Anyone been to Strongsville, Ohio (outside Cleveland?)

I just booked a room for after our Cleveland zoo trip. It's the Holiday Inn Strongsville and it seemed to be rated OK on trip advisor. Is anyone familiar with the hotel or that town?

Strongsville is a nice city. it's south of Cleveland. If you are worried about the area, no reason to. There is also a nice big mall called South Park there.

When is your trip? I'm booked at that same hotel for a conference at the end of July. If your trip is after that, I'll gladly let you know how it is.

I am not familiar with that hotel but Strongsville is a very nice area. As a PP mentioned there is a nice mall, South Park which has some great places to eat and shop. I would suggest visiting the city's website to get any information about the area.

I live in Strongsville and when I was younger I've stayed in that hotel for New Years Eve. It is in a good neighborhood and isn't run down or anything. It is just off the highway (I-71) so getting to the zoo would be easy. You'll take 71 north and get off at the Fulton/W.25th exit (245) and turn right. Here is a map.

The mall, Southpark, is right there and there are plenty of restaurants in the area if you want to eat close to the hotel.

Strongsville is a very nice suburb. That hotel is very convenient to South Park Mall, a very large two-story mall. There are also several shopping centers along Royalton Road, across from the Mall.

There is a very nice Iceland Skating Arena two doors down, if you and/or your kids like to ice skate.

There are many restaurants in the area. For something other than the typical chain restaurant, you might want to try Iron Chef Michael Symon's B-Spot restaurant. I haven't been there - if you try it, let me know how it is!! LOL!

You will be right by I-71 and will just hop on that to get to the zoo.

Thank you. I am so glad it is in a nice area. We are staying next week, just for one night. If anyone is interested, there is a deal for this hotel through travelzoo for $69 a night I think through June and July. Normally it is $109.

Nice Holiday Inn-I live just down the street from it. Very convenient to highway. South Park Mall has a Five Guys burger place-Good hamburgers and fries. You did get a good price for it.
