Has anyone any info on POFQ since it opened as to refurbishment? We love POFQ but I do have to admit that it was getting to the point of some well-needed updates- notably, carpet, paint, grout in shower. We would like to go back in August but with CBR being totally refurbished, we might go there.
Any info would help.

Do you mean French Quater when it closed due to attendance slow-down? We stayed for a week in October 2002. It had been re-opened for several months by then. I do not think a general rehab was done while closed. We try to stay in Building 5 each time and our room was pretty much as it would have appeared before POFQ closed. The room was very clean except for perhaps some carpet stains. Overall a great trip. Always such a convenient locale. GREAT STAFF!

YES!! And we LOVED it... It is now our very favorite moderate resort.

The grounds are beautiful, the pool is fantastic, the refurbishment in the food court is awesome... the food was great, the transportation was incredible.

Also, there was never any mention of refurbs on the guest rooms, so we didn't expect that there were. The rooms were clean, neat and well maintained. If there was wear and tear, we really didn't notice, but we aren't the type that goes in and inspects every inch of a resort to see if the grout is chipping, or if the carpets are worn. We expect that a certain degree of wear and tear is normal with as many guests as each resort entertain throughout the year.

We stayed in building 3 and it was just fine!
