We're planning to visit the Good Hope Estate with DCL. Does anyone know if we are allowed to bring strollers? I do know WC are not allowed, but I'm wondering if there's room on the vehicle for an umbrella stroller otherwise I may just decide to take a taxi there.

Thanks!

I'm not sure whether the restriction for the wheelchairs/scooters is DCL or the Estate itself. The tour information says "Guests must be ambulatory", and "Guests must be able to walk 14 stairs into the Great House". So, my best guess, if you have a child that requires a stroller, you'd have to carry him/her.

We were their in May and as OP stated lots of stairs. We did not see any strollers so I would assume no. This was the Estate's call not DCL. It was beautiful and we enjoyed it. Lots of different tours their to pick from my niece and her husband did tubing. They left their toddlers in the nursery on the ship.

Thank you. That's the info I was looking for. I haven't found many answers from people who have actually been there. My husband is doing the ultimate thrill seekers one, but the rest of us (5 adults, a 3 year old & two 1 year olds) were planning just to do the estate tour. Maybe we'll just leave them on board. Three kids this age comes along with a lot of stuff to carry, let along them, so I don't know if it'd be worth it. I don't think any of us were THAT interested in going, we just wanted to do something that was kid friendly, i.e. not the falls. I guess I'll have to speak with my extended family & see if they still want to bother since now it'd be the cost of the excursion & the cost of the extra nursery hours.

Thanks so much!

We were there last September and I don't recall any strollers.
How about the Green Grotto Caves excursion?

Thanks!

My SIL who is traveling with is Jamaican so we're going mainly off of what she'd like to see. Her main thing was to get a taste of Jamaica- food & land. So now I'm thinking of booking a Falmouth walking food tour I found on trip advisor. It doesn't start until 11am so we could either leave the kids on the ship or take them with. The Good Hope Estate meeting time is 7:15am, well before the nursery opens, so that won't work no matter what.

I think that is a wonderful idea! You are so lucky to have the opportunity for a really authentic experience. :)
I looked at that tour last year but ended with the Good Hope House tour. It was fantastic, but we did not have little ones and strollers to think about.

One of the main reasons we chose Green Grotto this time is because it had a later start time and we want to sleep in a bit. lol

Thanks!

On our Falmouth day, the nursery and Oceaneer's opened at 7:00 for kids to be dropped off prior to the early excursions.

How was the tubing excursion? Would it be ok for 6 and 8 yo who are decent swimmers ?
