They are opening one up in Spring,Tx and were putting up the sign today. It looks quite big.

Has anyone been to Cheddars casual Cafe restaurant and whats it like?

Thanks:love::love:

If it's what I think it is...I 'think' they have one in Macon, Ga.
It has a bar area, nice restaurant, good food. Almost like a Longhorns but not all steak.

Again, I could be wrong, I THINK that's what it is :) I dont' have any around me

They do have one in Macon. I've eaten there a few times. It's good food, really reasonable prices. They have a variety of things, steak, pasta, chicken. I've got a couple of vegetarians in my family and they were able to find plenty to eat there, too. I mention that because sometimes they have a hard time finding things to eat at places that we go around here.

There is one here in Asheville and it is wonderful!!!

Great menu, generous portions, reasonable prices. The one here is almost always full with a wait...any time of day.

I miss the one in Asheville (I moved away). Great prices, great food, and nice interior for a chain. Their chips and salsa are good!

We love the chips and salsa too. We too go to the one in Asheville. We like it very much and the prices are So so cheap and for all the food you get you cant beat it.
I love the Monte Cristo sandwich it is awesome. Oh and the bread that they serve with the salads i could make a meal just off that bread.

I frequent Cheddars - there's one very near my office. The food is great, prices are very reasonable, they have the best darn peach iced tea on the planet, they have several vegetarian options and their broccoli casserole is AMAZING.

 That's my Cheddars dance!

I just checked out their menu. It looks tasty. Too bad there aren't many close to where I live.

Because of the Dis there are dozen of chain restaurants nationwide I want to try. I may need to take a road trip some day just to chain restaurants recommended on the Dis.

I haven't been in 10 years now (the last time I made it down to TX), but they had a Monte Cristo sandwich back then and maybe still do, that was to die for - probably literally as well as figuratively;)

They still have it - it's some deep-fried and battered sandwich with some kind of raspberry sauce on it. Looks horrid to me (I'm a vegetarian!) but it's a favorite among all of my friends!!

Oh wow I am really looking forward to it now!!. It is across the freeway from a really great barbecue restaurant chain Rudys country store barbeque. Try it it you all get a chance and are driving by Texas. Its on 1-45 N in Spring:)

While as a family, we can all find something on the menu to order, it is just not one of the restraunts that we throw out there as where to go on Friday nights.

We usually go, when one or more of us is jonesing for sweets. We all love their cookie monster. When all four of us go, we order 2, one for the girls and one for the boys.

My family feels Cheddar's is one of the best values for dining out. The food is of good quality and tasty. The portions are very large. The prices are reasonable. To me this equals value. The only down side is that there is always a wait unless you go right when the restaurant opens or want to have dinner at 3:30 p.m. Because of the crowds, it can be a little noisy--not rowdy, just ambient noise. With many menu items, you have enough food for an extra meal if you want a take-home box. The menu is very diverse and even those with picky tastes or special dietary concerns can find something to eat.

I love the chicken strips too. I usually share my plate w/ two of my sons and still have some leftover to bring home.

It's a family favorite. We try to go there every other month, so it's a nice treat.

We LOVE Cheddar's ...the food is good and the portions are HUGE so pretty much every dish is enough to share for 2 people...We love their buffalo chicken tenders and sauteed chicken breasts!! :thumbsup2 Never had a problem splitting food, and we do it everytime! Way too much for 1 person!!

DW's grandparents travel up to Tennessee a lot and stop in at Cheddar's every trip and rave about it. I think they will be building one down here soon. We've been wanting to try them since the gp's go on and on about how good and cheap they are.
