We are planning to go to Blue Mountain in Ontario. Would value any tips or things to do there.

If you are looking for accomodations, try to stay right in the Village at Blue Mountain. Go to bluemountain.ca for more info.

There are great restaurants there and one of our favorites is Copperblues. They currently have a special menu on right now. $22 surf and turf. Check their website for more info. We also like Kaytoo. Windy O'Neils has a great pub atmosphere.

There are lots of shops and things to look at in the Village.

This is thier slow time so you can find lots of specials (accomodations starting at $99).

Try posting this on the Canadian Planning Board.

For skiing, Blue Mountain is an OK hill, with its main advantage being that it is the closest decent ski hill to Toronto. The resort, however, is run by IntraWest, who also run Mont Tremblant in Quebec and Whistler in BC; so the resort is actually really nice.

You can trade in DVC points to stay there theu Buena Vista Trading, but it's not a very good deal. When we went to Mont Tremblant last summer, we used cash for a much better deal than the outrageous points cost quoted us.

We actually are using our DVC points and it was only 6 points a night...not too bad I thought. But I do see that the rates do go up alot in season. I wonder what the Palm Springs Intrawest is like? They have some real low rates too off season.
