Still debating between POFQ and a value resort for a Feb. 5-9 trip. I am aware that POFQ is probably the quietest choice, but have any of you stayed at a value during this time? Right now our party is booked at Pop. Our overall concern is noise. I realize that children are everywhere at Disney resorts, but hoping for some advice as to which might be the quietest resort.
If you request a quiet area, are we likely to get one if there is such a spot?
Please help!!!!!

We stayed at ASMovie in Feb and it was quiet. For value, I love ASMusic, but not sure how it is in Feb.

I've heard that ASMu attracts more adults traveling without children than the other All Stars (which should make it quieter), but ASMu is the only All Star I've stayed at, so I have no first hand knowledge if that's true.

I have stayed at POP and AS Sports during Feb. and they were both quiet (and these were both all girls trips). I would stay at either one again without a doubt.
Have fun! :)

We've traveled adults only early Feb and have stayed at POR, FQ, CBR and POP...CBR was probably the most quiet (and more adults). POR (AB)and FQ a very close second.

POP was very noisy & busy around the grounds and food court, bus etc - although not near our room, even tho there was a young family with twins next door.

Have a great trip!

I don't think any value is quiet! I love the values, but only for the price/theming. Every time we stay there we have the kids screaming outside the door, the family that "props" the door open and it bangs shut about 50 times at 11pm.

Wow that is terrible! I guess we were lucky, we didn't have any problems like that but I guess it is the luck of the draw... :)

we stayed at ASMovies in Feb and it was quiet the entire week, we also went before Peak season too, as after mid Feb Peak season rates and crowds start....

The last week of January thru the end of first week in Feb there is a very large cheerleading competition and they ALL stay at the All Star resorts. I was there this year ('07) at ASMo and it was very busy. I talked with many of the cheerleader moms and was told that they were spread out at all 3 of the All Star resorts. The resort was way more crowded than any other place we went ie: the parks, DTD.

This past August we were at POFQ and the hotel was sold out. Never once did it seem busy or crowded.

POFQ would be my choice if you are wanting quiet.

I looked this up, and the cheerleading competition is the first weekend in Feb. and the dance team competition is the second weekend in Feb.

I've stayed at Pop twice at the end of value season in Feb and although the resort is busy, we were never bothered by the noise. We did notice cheerleaders at the parks however and were thankful we were not staying at the same resort as they were! That would be reason enough for me to avoid the All Stars.

I was there from Tuesday thru the following Thursday (9 days) and they were there the entire time. It was not just over the weekend.

Thanks for all the advice! There are certainly pros and cons to any of the spots I think.
This is definitely to be mulled over!
Maybe a code could come out which would make a moderate cheaper...that would solve our problems!

If you have a AAA membership you can get either 15% or 20%(can't remember which) off the rate of a value or moderate. The only catch is that there is a limited amount of rooms available at the discounted rate. I got one just by calling back several times.....and I only started calling 2 weeks before my arrival.

I have heard this as well several times. I am going to be there next Sept. Not much help to the OP, but hey......
