anyone been to a Disney on Ice show?

Saw Toy Story 2 last winter--very good. We will see Disney Classics on Wednesday the 25th. I agree--the souvenirs are very expensive. We had to keep telling the kids that we couldn't buy anything at the Ice Show, but that we would splurge during our trip (which happened in June.)

The funny thing about this show is that it is sort of early in the year for an ice show (in the Chicagoland area).

whirlsy, you can't avoid the souvenier stands. T-shirts were $14 and those light up spinny things were $12. There were really cute Disney Princess t-shirts. They also had mouse ears with l.e.d.'s on the edges.

thats not too bad of a price for t-shirts~ i will just avoid the popcorn;) thank you sooo much for your responses, I am really excited.

They are in Knoxville this week. :( We're not going though. Saving that $ for the World instead. :) I saw 101 Dalmations a few years ago. It was really good! :)

PS maybe we should spell it Di$ney. ;)

I saw the 100 years of Magic show 4 times in July, twice we paid, twice we were comped as media, where i also interveiwed characters for a tv show. Two of those shows were a 12 hour train ride each way, but it is the closest to Disney we get here.

100 years opf magic is more interactive, youa re allowed up tpothe characters in the finale. I jsut canned two pics if anyone wants to see, jsut email me.

Definatly worth going...

Just a thought on souveniers. Last year I bought a couple for my daughter before the show. Then it drove me nuts trying to hang on to them with sodas and snacks. Then when we left, they had a bag full of souveniers with a Mickey doll, coloring book, program book, and several small toys for $10 a bag. I decided this year we will look before the show and wait til after the show to pick out a memento.

I have seen Toy Story 2 on ice. I liked the show! The Tarzan/Lion King/Jungle Book on Ice is coming here Sept 28th and I would love to go!

Hey Michelle - you wanna go???

I would have loved to go but I'll be coming home from a sleepover with about 30 little girls ages 5-12 that morning.

We went to Toy Story on Ice, I went to TDS and bought one of those spinners for $10, they sold them for $16. I pulled it out and DS was happy. I was happy that I had bought it before.

We've been to Beauty and the Beast and 75 years of Disney Magic (now the 100 year of Magic, I am guessing since it was only 2 years ago). We enjoyed them both, hoping that we get the Disney Princess show soon.

I went to several shows when I was younger. They were great, and I would love to go again sometime. :)
