Anyone been offered an "upsell" rate lately???

In the past, on two seperate occassions I called Disney to book and was offered an upsell rate. The first time I was plannnig to book at the All Stars and was offered to stay at POFQ for just $25 more per night, which of course I accepted. The next time...a couple years later, I was planning to book POFQ and was offered to stay at the Boardwalk Inn for only $40 more per night...which of course we did as well. These were two amazing deals....both in August. I haven't seen anything like that in a while....anyone else have any luck with "upsell" rate....especially recently

Did you actually breakdown the pricing with what normal deals were out then?

Right now for the deluxe summer deal vs no deal:

Cornado - $226 (if no discounts were left)
AKL - $257.60 (if you get the 30% discount)

You could in theory be offered an upsell for $31 a night between the two if the Cornado ran out of summer discount rooms.

That happens when a resort is under refurbishment, or they really over booked. You could always call and ask.
