Anyone been last week of Sept.?

We are going the last week of Sept. and I was wondering if anyone has been then over the past two years? I am trying to go at a time where there are no waits and crowds and I think this is one of those times. From your experience am I right? I am also going to try to rent points for a studio at BCV. Do I need to do that now or can I wait a few more months to see what codes come out for other resorts?

we were there last year from 23rd to 2nd and it was great it was a bit warm but the lines were great and the crowd wasnt bad .. I think.. but I guess I never pay attention anymore with the crowd so am not a good scale for this thing. But rides ?? esp'ly if you are doing the MNSSHP you would have so much time to do it... this are the list of the few people I found on DIS and there is a thread on DISNEY RESORTS DISCUSSION titles September, Anyone ???:

i was there last spet 18 thru 23
it was great the crowds were nothing to me as i was there in may the year before and it was much busier

it was very nice we could swim
i would definetly go at this time again next year

We went Sept 21-30th 2001. after 9/11, the crowds were very light so I can't comment on how it usually is. But the weather was nice and it rained for about 15min each afternoon. But it was light rain that didn't stop us, it was more refreshing than anything and broke the humidity. We swam in the resort pool and were comfortable.

We went Sept 27- Oct 4th last year. This was our first trip to Disney in 5 years and our first trip staying onsite. The lines were great until the weekend (the Food and Wine Festival) but managable. We got almost everything we wanted done in that week. We are going back again at the same time for MNSSHP and the Food and Wine festival. It's a great time to go and there is lots of things going on at the parks. We will probably go around this time very year.

I was wondering about the crowds also. I just booked Sept 26 thru Oct 1 with the free dining plan. We were not going back until next year but could not resist. Have to take the kids out of school though, at least for four of those days. Would not have considered doing that before. Now we can get in on the Food and Wine Festival and MNSSHP. We are not going to tell the kids until the last minute, in case something happens (I took out the insurance) like hurricanes and my elderly father is not in good health. It is going to be hard to keep a secret.

I think we're set for CSR 10/2 - 10/8. I see a lot of others are taking advantage if the free dining as well...

When is the Food & Wine festival this year, and can I expect crowds at the parks? Lighter than my last two May trips, maybe?

We visited the "World" 9/26-10/5 2003. It was great. We were pleasantly surprised that the lines were so short. Many rides we could do over and over again. The first weekend we were there we only waited 15-20 min for rides. The second weekend (first weekend in October) it got pretty busy. It would rain every afternoon and it was overcast our entire trip. We had no idea (being from the desert) how lucky we were. The day we left the sun and the humidity came out and we found out about Florida heat!!! We did MNSSHP on Oct. 1st or 2nd. That wasn't even as busy as we thought it would be.
We are going again this September!
