Just wondering if anyone is back from a Priceline All Star reservation? We check in for 2 nights at Music on Tues and just wondering how it went? Any problems?

thanks,
Kim

We just got back from our two-night stay at ASMu. It was a great stay and what a deal. We even asked about getting a king-size bed when we got there and the CM made a phone call and changed our room. Now, just a word of caution if you added rooms to your original bid. You will have two separate reservations in the Disney system. We didn't pay any attention to the dates on our room keys or our parking pass when we checked in. On the second day we just happened to inquire about changing some ADR's that we had. The CM asked for our room number. When we gave it to him he said that he showed we were checking out of that room and it had been assigned to someone else. We were supposed to move to another room. We had no idea that we were supposed to move so we hadn't packed anything up. It wasn't a problem. The CM made a phone call and got us booked into the same room for the second night. So it was like the first CM had only checked us in for the original reservation and not the additional one at the same time. We hadn't mentioned anything about two reservations when we checked in so maybe it didn't even show that way. I don't even know if the CM knew that our reservation had come from Priceline. Anyway, everyone was really nice and helpful. It just would have been easier if we had paid more attention to the dates when we checked in and got everything squared away right from the start.

Hope everyone else enjoys their great PL deals!

thanks for the heads up on telling them about seperate ressies... I figured they would have seen it. I will be sure to mention when I check in.

Yes, thanks much for the heads up! I'll be sure to give them all our reservation numbers at check-in and see if we can stay in the same room the entire time.

My sister and I were at AS Sports with the Priceline ressies last week Wed. & Thurs. I had two reservations and inquired at check-in if we could just have the same room both nights. The clerk said that they couldn't keep us in the same room due to my reservations being through Priceline and they were two separate reservations. We gently but firmly pleaded with the clerk to let us stay in the same room, due to the fact my sister had an job interview the next day - she didn't budge. She did get us a late check-out, so it ended up working out alright. The next day I went up to check-out and then said I need to check-in, the clerk was very nice and within a few minutes I had our new room that was already ready - a few doors down from our originally one. It didn't bother me too much to move, but if I had to do it more than once and with more people I wouldn't be too happy. Overall a great trip and great hotel rate!!

Thanks for your report too. I plan to try asking if we can stay in the same room too, but we'll see what happens. I have one more question for those of you who've gone and come back -- as this was the first time I used Priceline, is the web confirmation from Priceline all we get in the way of a "paper" reservation, or did you receive a paper one from Disney too? (you know, the ones that make you smile when you see them in the mailbox!)

The only confirmation I had was from Priceline but I only bid on this two days before I checked in and I was on vacation when I did it. So maybe someone else that booked farther out can respond?

I was able to confirm my 2 Priceline res's for my 5/29-6/8 trip directly with Disney using my Priceline confrrmation numbers. I did through their automate support number given elsewhere on this site. I also had them link my reserv ations together to keep the same rooms. The cast member was very nice and assisted with everything I needed.

Counting down the days til the fun begins!!!

How did you get them to link the two together? We have 2 days (2 separate 1 day ressies) on this Sunday and Monday. We have a little one, and we won't want to move if possible.

MILEMRK, thanks for the tip about linking the numbers! I just called the automation number and had them do that for my reservation(s) too. Great idea!

We checked into Music on 5/9 for 1 night and were told that we had to come down the next morning and check out and then check back in for the next night. I did that the next day and asked to be in the same room so that we didn't have to move our stuff and she looked and said that we were assigned to the same room. So, it did all work out. I guess it's worth it for the great price!!

I would like to call to see if I can have my two reservations linked together but am unsure what is meant by calling the automate support number. Could someone please help? Thanks

Kathy

Kathy - Magnetic managed to track down the number to GDS department. CRO can't really do anything with your reservation, but the GDS department (they answer the phones "Automation support") CAN access, modify, etc.

I did a little searching of my own and found that GDS is the department that handles non-Disney or Disney-related agents reservations. So hotel consolidators like Travelocity, Expedia, etc all do reservations through GDS rather than the general CRO that we call, book online or have our travel agents book through.

Random favor to anyone calling this department anytime soon. . . if the person seems friendly, can you feel around and see if they happen to know anything about Disney possibly using Priceline again in the future? I figure if these are the people dealing directly with these alternate booking sources, they may have a heads up over which companies to expect to work with.

How do you get the GDS phone number?

Thanks for the information. I found the phone number on one of the other threads. 800-353-4800. And yes if the CM seems freiendly I will inquire about any future bookings on PL

We're back from our Priceline ASM trip & we had a fantastic time!

Our trip was from May 29 - June 4th. We had 4 sets (!) of reservations with Priceline (from adding more and more days in several Priceline sessions.) We were assigned a room in the Rock Inn, and we were also allowed to stay in the same room for the duration of our trip. We did have to go down to the front desk and check in/check out with each new reservation number, but this was really no big deal and never took more than 5 minutes each time. We did get the Pack & Play we requested for the room, and again, had a really fantastic time. We also used Magical Express for transportation both ways.

A bonus - my parents had also made a Priceline reservation for the ASM and when they checked in, they asked if they could be near our building if possible. They were assigned an adjoining room, right next to ours! So that made it great for our kids to go over and visit them too.

Honestly, we are used to staying at Moderates, or occasionally Deluxe, but we were thoroughly impressed with and enjoyed our stay at ASM. At this price, how could you not :)

I returned last night from my Priceline stay and AS Music. Both rooms were excellent, hotel in great condition and we had a blast. They met every request I made with a smile and I was all smiles all 9 nights, as were my friends.

Cant wait to go back soon!!!
