Anyone attending or attended Gartner Conference? Attire?

DH is going to the Gartner Conference at Disney and was wondering what kind of attire he should wear? Is it business casual or can he wear park attire if he will be meeting us at the park later in the afternoon/early evening?

I've attended and presented at a few events in Orlando. You always see people in attendance in park dress. But I don't know if it's proper or not in your DH case.

If I'm going to an event and representing just myself, I'll dress how I please. If I represent my employer, my board would not be happy if I was in shorts and flip/flops.

If one of my guys was there in park attire on my dime, it would be his last trip I paid for. But, if he was paying and I see him there it's none of my business.

I guess it all comes down to what he would fell comfortable wearing.

I agree with PP, if someone in my organization went to the meetings/lectures in park clothes, I'd be very unhappy. So, I'm going to say business casual at the conference.

But, if he isn't going to run into bosses, clients, coworkers, or peers...agree he should wear whatever he feels like (but then I would also wonder why he's going. ).

Note: it can be uber cold in those conference rooms at all of the Epcot resorts. He may prefer chinos and a polo shirt.

1) This is a business conference.
2) Expect "Business Casual".

He needs to change between conference and parks. THis is Gartner Symposium... full of CIOs and bigwigs... best to not be unimpressive.

Thanks for the input. He will plan to dress business attire and change later. This is his first time attending and since it is at Disney, we didn't know if the dress code was different due to the location.
