My DS loves Cranium Command. Does anyone know if it will be open for Easter???

Wonders of Life and all of its attractions including Cranium Command are permanently closed.

What a shame :guilty: It is such a fun pavillion. I do agree it got a little seedy in the past few years and definately could use tweeking but I hope it reopens some day.

Actually, the official WDW site shows Cranium Command and The Making of Me being open again beginning today; anybody able to confirm?

I too would like to know if they have re-opened...

I'm also waiting to hear -- when I called WDW they said it should be open for Spring Break -- here's hoping!

So, my info could be wrong, but according to mouseplanet.com...

Seasonally Open is the same as Seasonally Closed
In the last few weeks, we have received quite a large number of emails along the lines of "The Wonders of Life pavilion isn't closed for good! The Operational Updates section of the Disney Web site says that it's going to be OPEN during <insert month here>!!" Unfortunately, that's not the case. First of all, the Disney site does indeed say that Cranium Command and The Making of Me (and why not Body Wars, too?) are "open seasonally." However, that doesn't mean anything. They have been "open seasonally" for a very long time, and were rarely open.

The fact is that the pavilion is no longer listed on the park maps (yes, the image of the pavilion may still be there, but there is no text for it) and the pavilion and its attractions are no longer listed on the Walt Disney World web site. The pavilion is sometimes used for cast member and other private events, but it is not expected to reopen to the public again. Sorry to burst that bubble.

AND

Epcot
The Wonders of Life pavilion – is closed for good.

Now, MousePlanet.com is not always right, but the info is usually accurate....

So, once again, is anyone who is actually there able to confirm or deny? Thanks!

Bumping up to find out if anyone knows for sure if this is open or not. I hope so, since Disney site is saying it is, cuz my family loves both Body Wars and Cranium Command!

Thanks!

"Disney site is saying it is..."
Sorry, but the site is NOT saying it is open. It's the opposite.

Think about this-
The Disney website does not list OPEN attractions at the bottom of the page.
(That would be a very long list.)

If an attraction is listed at the bottom of the page, it means it is NOT open.
(See MK: LS Riverboat is listed at the bottom of the page, LS Riverboat is not open.)

The "open seasonally" listing means that it is NOT OPEN during the dates listed.

Here's the proof-
If you'll check the next month, and the next, and the next, and the next, etc.
Cranium Command and Making of Me are listed as "Open Seasonally" every single day for the entire six months posted on the site.
(And they have been listed this way for several PAST months and they have been CLOSED all during the times listed this way.)

I love both of these attractions, I wish it were otherwise, but...

Sorry, the listing means they are NOT open.

The way Disney worded this posting opens the door to confusion. I also read it at first as if the attractions were open, only because they added the dates. If it simply said "Open Seasonally" as it used to, I wouldn't have had my hopes up, too. Disney should re-word the posting to say "Open Seasonally - Closed 5/1/06-5/31/06" or something at least more clear than what they are posting now...I wouldn't think it would be hard to change.

Sorry Robo, but the WDW site did NOT have either attraction listed at all in March, and the April dates specifically started on the 3rd rather than the 1st, and they do not list Body Wars which is another that had been 'seasonally open', so it is still not clear. I repeat, once again, if anyone is there and has seen this week (since the 3rd), please let us know!

Under Ebcot it says that this attraction will be open Aug 1-Aug. 31

Unfortunately, it does not say "OPEN".

What it says is "OPEN SEASONALLY".

Below, I have copied from the WDW.COM from the bottom of the Epcot Calendar for the next 6 months.

OPERATIONAL UPDATES

* Cranium Command: Open Seasonally [April 8, 2006 to April 30, 2006]
* The Making of Me: Open Seasonally [April 8, 2006 to April 30, 2006]

* Cranium Command: Open Seasonally [May 1, 2006 to May 31, 2006]
* The Making of Me: Open Seasonally [May 1, 2006 to May 31, 2006]

* Cranium Command: Open Seasonally [June 1, 2006 to June 30, 2006]
* The Making of Me: Open Seasonally [June 1, 2006 to June 30, 2006]

* Cranium Command: Open Seasonally [July 1, 2006 to July 31, 2006]
* The Making of Me: Open Seasonally [July 1, 2006 to July 31, 2006]

* Cranium Command: Open Seasonally [August 1, 2006 to August 31, 2006]
* The Making of Me: Open Seasonally [August 1, 2006 to August 31, 2006]

* Cranium Command: Open Seasonally [September 1, 2006 to September 30, 2006]
* The Making of Me: Open Seasonally [September 1, 2006 to September 30, 2006]

* Cranium Command: Open Seasonally [October 1, 2006 to October 31, 2006]
* The Making of Me: Open Seasonally [October 1, 2006 to October 31, 2006]

You'll notice that it says the SAME THING for EVERY SINGLE DAY through October.

Sorry, but the site is NOT saying it is open. It means just the opposite.

The Disney website does not list OPEN attractions at the bottom of the page.

The "starting date" changes EVERY DAY.

If it said April 3rd (to April 30, 2006), you where looking at it on April 3rd.

Today it starts on April 8th. (to April 30, 2006)

Actually, when I first looked in March, it said April 3.

Well I for one wish they bring back World of Motion get rid of Wonders of Life all together it never did appeal that much. Covert the Pavillion to WOrld of Motion which they should have never replaced in the first place IMHO.

It could happen...

But HORIZONS, THAT one is gonna be back, I know it... any day now.

Right after they fully restore the original Journey Into Imagination.

:goodvibes

(Then Food Rocks will be next.)

Don't know the date that this MousePlanet post was written, but probably the reason they don't list "Body Wars" as being seasonal is that I understand it is being/has been REMOVED from the pavillion for shipment to Tokyo Disneyland (or some other park).
So, since Body Wars has "left the building" (along with Elvis), there's no chance to do that again. (Unless there are some pudgy "Body Wars Impersonators" out there headed for Vegas.)

As for "Cranium Command" and "Making of Me" having the "open seasonally" listing on the WDW official site...

http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/wd...alendarParkHoursMonthlyViewPage&date=20060401

No change.
The date always begins with "today's" date (changes every day) and continues, daily, month-after-month on the calendar, to be "open seasonally" (which means "NOT operating" on the dates listed.)

Sad, but true.

I don't know why they:
a. list these attractions at ALL (since WoL is obviously closed)...
b. list them with such a CONFUSING message

Basically, Wonders of Life is operating "seasonally," but it's most likely going to close. It has not been open since sometime last year at this present time.
