How are the crowds right now at Disney? I want to go this time next year but want it to be the same crowd level as late Sept. Are the parks themselves crowded with people just looking at decorations? How about Disney transportation around the parks? What are the ride wait times? Thanks for any info. you can give me.

We just left WDW after being there since last Tuesday.
the parks were pretty crowded until Sunday and then started to thin out.
In fact we went to MGM yesterday and rode RNR coaster 3 times back to back and walked right on.
We then went to TOT and rode back to back without a wait twice.
We asked a few cast members about the crowds and they said this is one of the slowest weeks of the year.
In fact I would like to make this week my target time for next year...light crowds, cool Christmas decorations etc...

We are here right now, but staying off site. We went to Marketplace tonight and I can say that the crowds were definitely lighter than when we went Halloween week last year.

We are planning on going to MK tomorrow so I will let you know how things are.

I am at WDW right now, and I think the crowds are light as I ever seen! It is very similar to my mid January trips. This upcoming weekend will probably be busy, though. It is far less crowded than my end of October trip I did last month! Weather been a tad rainy but temperatures are wonderful! :)

I heard from friends of mine that are on property last night and they said that they were not having to wait in long lines and it was perfect there.

Hope it stays that way as I am to join them the end of next week.

Slightly Goofy

Thanks for letting me know. I will definitely go this time next year now. Keep letting us on the boards know what it's like if you have time. Thank you so much! Melissa

I am also at WDW now. We did the MVMCP last night and it was awesome! Amazing new fireworks display.

Also agree that the lines are very short. We were at MK most of yesterday and I thought that the crowds INCREASED after the MVMCP started. I told my wife we need to come back to MK the next day they have the party as I think that regular guests avoid the park so they do not have to leave early. My kids were on Stitch and I was able to do Buzz before they got back. All the fast pass machines were covered and we never waited more than 5 minutes for any ride. Even Splashmountain and Thunder Mountain. Again, the crowds picked up as it got closer to 7:00 pm but was still great.

We were at the party last night also and after only being able to visit on school vacation for the last 12 years I thought it was great. No More Easter Week for me

This sounds great to me! We are going next year, :Pinkbounc leaving Nov 30 or Dec 1 for 10 days! So I am closely watching the info for this week. I can't wait! I have a big smile on my face now since I know it is only a year away. :earboy2:

OK, spent yesterday at MK and I thought that the crowds were heavier than Decembers past. Silly us didn't get a FP for Snow White and waited in line for almost 40 minutes. Small World moved quick, Barnstormer was down for some reason, Pooh's line was long and the FP return time was 2 hours after we got off of Snow White so we decided to skip it. Didn't do FP for Buzz, but the line was very quick. There were all out and about. Spectro parade was beautiful, but long. The crowds up around the castle were packed in. It took me 30 minutes to get popcorn. My dd (5yoa) did Splash for the first time and said that she liked everythin but the big drop at the end. The wait for Splash was 40 minutes, but the line moved quick and they were on in 20 minutes.

We are going to the Christmas party tonight so I will let you know how it goes.

BTW, if you are coming down this week bring a medium weight coat for night time and don't plan on wearing shorts unless you are a die hard. It got down to about 50 last night and we were all in shorts and I was freezing! During the day it was nice and you could wear shorts, but once the sun went down it got cool and I wished I was in jeans. No swimming needless to say.

I'll try and post when we get back tonight. Oh, and we went over to the GF and the Christmas decorations are beautiful as usual.

I wonder why MK was so crowded yesterday? It sounds like only Mon. and Tues. are going to be slow this week. People must be coming in for the weekend already for the taping of the xmas parade. I wonder if there is a big convention there right now and everyone brought there families? Does anyone know the answer to any of these questions? Thanks, Melissa
