Anyone at AK today? 6 attraction closures?!

I'm stalking MDE observing wait times, and right now in AK, MDE reports Expedition Everest, Gorilla falls exploration trail, Kali River rapids, Kilamanjaro Safaris, Primeval Whirl, and Triceratops Spin are all closed?! Is something unusual going on there? That's a lot of attractions to have temporarily closed at the same time.

Most likely weather. Both water parks were closed today due to storms in the area.

Not at the parks but at AKV. A big thunder storm is rolling through (for the last hour or so) so that could be why.

Severe thunderstorms have been rolling through. Water parks and mini-golf are/were closed as well.

Brave is right, it's not safe, lots of lightning.

IMO, the chance of getting hit by lightning in a Disney park is even lower than in general. Virtually every structure has a lightning protection system.

Definitely weather. My boss was supposed to fly home from Orlando today with his family and his flight was canceled. They tried to get on another flight but all departing flights were full.

Thunderstorms
Default when you see that many attractions closed, without even asking, Thunderstorms.
Especially when you see 1 thing all of those have in common.

Every outdoor attraction in every park was closed at one point this morning. No idea how long it lasted, I didn't continue to monitor. The fact that they were all outdoors told me without looking at radar it was storming.

Waits are very low in every park. Among the lowest I've seen in a long time for midday. And it seems like the storm has mostly passed as everything except TT is open.

We always stick around when there are storms and just do everything we can indoors until it passes. Bad weather never seems to last all day in Florida, and the wait times after a thunderstorm are awesome because people call it quits and go back to their resort.

I know for me I was poking around to see how it was going for TSMM. When I first opened the app it was not on HS and all the closures caught my eye
