Disney ended up moving us to the Riviera for July 12-16, 2020 due to our original resort not being open. However, we had no choice in that and it's not where we would like to be. We had the 35% Sun and Fun discount which they won't honor if we choose to move even if it's to a less expensive resort. Word is top management has said it's not to be done under any circumstances yet we see those resorts showing empty rooms. Anyone manage such a rebook of the rebooking while keeping your original discount and if so, how?

Were you price-protected, or did you have to pay a difference to be moved to RR? If you were price-protected, that only applies to whatever resort the CM offers you - not one of your choosing. As you said, they won't honor the discount if you choose to move. Typically, you can't change your resort twice for the same price/discount. If you're AP or FL resident, there are new offers available to be applied. I hope your trip works out for you tomorrow!

I don't think you can pick where you stay, but we asked for a second move and were given one at no extra cost. We were originally at Caribbean Beach, but we were moved to Fort Wilderness. Said it was too far from the parks and too spread out and they moved us to Boardwalk Villas. We were offered Beach Club or Boardwalk. You might have some success moving resorts if you have reasoning about not wanting to stay at Riviera (fear of heights so no Skyliner? lol), but don't expect to pick where you're moved and keep your discount.
