anyone able to get discount for S/D in October?

HI,

Trying to get a room for swan or dolphin for Oct 17th week.
Keep being told $275, no discounts, big convention etc.

Have ressies for contemporary garden wing and went to apply the new code and was told that room wasnt available for the discount rate.

I have a BWV preferred view studio available to rent for Oct, 17, five nights at $150 a night and no tax, either. Even closer to Epcot than the S/D.

I was checking to see if I could find one for November but couldn't. I think their discounts are not released for the entire calendar year but maybe Sept to Sept. October is a big convention month in Orlando but November is really not and there just aren't any offered then.

Maybe closer to you can find something.

I tried for first week in December; nurse's rate, Entertainment, AAA...there were no discounts to be had.

I had been trying for a discount for 10-22 but gave up.
Deb's site shows the discounts available thru December and lists Oct 1 thru Nov 15 as NO DISCOUNTS
Guess whole bunches of AP holding DVC members would stay at S/D on the weekends and S/D decided to try and make some $$$$
