Does anyone know anymore information of RDCT fireworks show? I know they have cut a little out of it (Big Thunder Mtn etc)but my big worry is that it won't be there in early June. We are taking my wife's sisters family with us this year. They have only been to DisneyWorld so it will be there first visit. I would really love for them to see it. I am disappointed that will miss Parade of Dreams as they would have loved that. How about Mainstreet Electrical Light Parade? Are we still a go for that as well in DCA? I have already warned them about the lagoon in DCA. Hopefully when they see the signage for the World of Color they will want to go back.

The only thing I've seen recent posts about is the Electrical Parade. I don't remember exact dates, but I know it was supposed to be down through the entire first week of June at least. I was bummed that we're going to miss it this time around!

Surely one of the regulars has fresher news than mine, though.

I sure wish Disney would understand how not posting schedules makes it hard for those of us who need to plan in advance. I've heard that Fantasmic and the Electrical Parade will be down while we're there...but that's only by word of mouth here on the boards.

Don't even say those words. Fantasmic! has to be up or I will cancel. This is a week before they summer season starts there, right? Why wouldn't the Electrical Parade be operating on the weekends either? Now I am really nervous.

That's what I've been told from folks here. When I asked how they got their info I didn't get an answer. I am guessing it is coming from cast members. I think the date I heard for Fantasmic reopening was June 16th. I haven't heard anything specific about the MEP...other than that they are changing the music and modifying it so it will focus on Tinkerbell and fairies instead of the traditional characters.

Other folks who posted about this kind of got slammed...but, I'm with you. If I didn't already have my airline tickets in hand...and an Entertainment rate room booked at HoJo's for our entire stay...I would have rescheduled for later this summer.

This has been one of my gripes about trying to plan this trip. I know Disneyland used to release their schedules earlier than they do now. For those of us living in the middle of the U.S. a trip to any Disney park is a complicated and expensive undertaking. I haven't had time to check the WDW info that's online, but if it's like it has been in the past it would sure be something that would encourage me to book a trip to Florida instead of California.

I started planning the trip to CA this year because I really didn't have enough money for a big Orlando trip. The mad money that's come my way was enough to comfortably do 6 days in Anaheim. I didn't think planning would have changed as much as it has. Had I known then what I know now I probably would have put the money in the bank, done a visit back there with our friends in Independence, and planned for a 2010 trip to Orlando.

We'll still have a great time in CA, but it's a bummer to miss out on some of the best stuff they offer. If you hear any specific dates for rehabs in June, let me know. I'll do the same for you!

Fantasmic is supposed to be up on June 12. That's my son's birthday, so I remember it. We are leaving the 14th, so I'm hoping the 12th is right (and praying that maybe they get it done a few days sooner). The only thing I've read about MSEP is "June" and I haven't read any dates on fireworks. I know DL is usually pretty good about having everything (except major rehabs like the stuff at Paradise Pier in CA) up and running from Memorial Day to Labor Day. I'm hoping that holds true. I really want to spend some evenings doing night stuff because we hardly ever do that at WDW.

I had the exact same problems when trying to plan my January trip. It's a PITA, especially when you are coming from far enough away that you have to fly in. It's expensive! And even worse when you mention it, in trying to get answers, and get slammed for it.:rolleyes1

Most California schools don't get out until the middle of June, so while Disneyland begins to get busier in late May, it still isn't in full peak mode just yet in early June.

My understanding is that Fantasmic is down in order to install a new dragon. I've seen the June 12 date as the reopening for it on another site. I know nothing about the fireworks other than the same rumor KCMike has seen.
