Hi all so I've seen many thread around at the moment concerning foot wear mainly crocs!

I was wondering of anybody had worn fitflops over there? I actually do like crocs and will probe rely grab a pair of the flip flop sandals style ones, but due to all that walking it would be great to tone up more so has anybody ever tried these while away.
OR
Even ha them at home did they work? I'm not overly keen on the look of them but some of the later styles have been better not so chunky lol!

I know there are some other makes of fitflop style so even if somebody had tried them and they have worked let me know :)

Trying to tone up and lose the stone I put on since last trip :( and if they work and are comfy ill wear them in Disney too since its soooo much walking lol

The Last couple of years I have worn Avon fit flops, they are very comfortable once worn in but Im not sure they toned up my legs. Im sure a more expensive brand might do a better job but for comfort I love my £17 bargins :goodvibes

I'm not sure if they actually work for toning but I have worn fit flops for years in wdw and they are the comfiest shoes ever for me.

If they are toning then that's a bonus lol

Don't care how crocs look, they are comfy for walking in the parks, no socks required and no issue if they get wet! If others have an issue with me wearing them (my DD for one) then tough ;)

My wife swears by here's she's had a good few pairs now, not for toning just for comfort

I tend to wear Toms

I actually think the styles of crocs that are available now have WAY improved since my first pair 9 years ago!

My feet never hurt even walking all day so I would recommend them to anyone, particularly the newer styles of flip flops.

The only issue I had was that they slipped and rubbed slightly in torrential thunderstorms (which lasted about ten solid days last year lol) but they're still preferable to most other footwear!

Can't comment on the fit flops - I've shyed away from them because I figure anything that's designed to make your muscles actually work harder can't be comfortable ;)

I find fit flops great for walking round the parks and have worn them for years now. Find you dont have to worry about them getting wet and they are very comfortable. Cant really comment for sure on the toning either though!

Only time I found fit flops a problem was having to take them off on WWOHP but that would apply for any shoe of that style.

I lived in my fitflops at WDW. I took my Crocs but found fitflops much more comfy. They didn't cost a fortune - I haven't paid more than £25.

I don't think they do anything to tone you - call me a cynic but...

I've just ordered a nice sequin pair off eBay. I hope they're comfy (I'm not too concerned about the toning part).

I wear Mickey fitflops - they were new last year and I had to put a plastic round the toe post as they rubbed after a bit particularly when they got wet. Had issues all round with my shoes and feet last year though - even my crocs rubbed me so in the end I bought a pair of Roxy flipflops with a fabric upper from the shop in MK near the Tiki Birds and these were the most comfy of all even though they offered no support.

This year I am taking a selection of footwear just in case.

I wear a combination of Fitflops and Crocs. Don't know whether the Fitflops to anything for me regarding toning but they sure are comfy! :thumbsup2

Another vote for Fitflops for comfort stakes. I have been wearing them for at least 5 years now and they are by far the comfiest footwear for me. I have tried many different alternatives but, with wide feet, I always seem to default back to my many pairs of Fitflops.

Unfortunately though I can't say I buy them for their toning qualities as I am not sure they do any more than all the usual walking does, but it's nice to think they might! :rotfl:

Is there anywhere you can try Firflops on or are they just on line? My biggest close shopping centre is Birmingham. I am struggling for comfy shoes.

our local branch of shuropody sells fitflops. If you have a branch there maybe pop in and have a look :)

I wore them the whole two weeks and found them comfy. no blisters or anything.

Just wanted to add too- try on different styles- they don't all have toe posts. That can help if you like to rotate footwear on diff days too.

In leeds I try on in sole trader, Daniels, sweaty Betty etc and then buy on line when on offer or discount code. Rarely pay over £30 for any style.

Fab thanks for the comments,

I think I'll get a pair for comfort reasons :) and then just hope they may do a bit of toning too lol! I'm always cynical about these types if things but I figured since there is so much walking in Disney some of you may have worn them,. X

I love my fit-flops - I bought a pair in 2008 and have worn the same pair on our last 4 trips - August will be their 5th outing to Orlando!!

Comfy as anything and great for days when water rides are involved!
