My mom is interested in a PT job at Kohl's. Is there pay competetive to other retail? Decent place to work?

I used to and was there for 5 years. The pay at ours was a little better than a lot of other places in the area. They also offer benefits to part-timers, including medical, holiday pay and vacation pay. Of course, the amount of hours you get for holiday/vacation is in relation to how many average hours you work per week. Plus you get a shopping discount on ANYTHING you purchase, including sale and clearance.

My daughter has been there 4 years and has just been promoted to an Asst. Manager and is being transferred. I am sad to see her move, but very proud of how fast she has moved up. She started as a front end supervisor, so I don't know about the wage of a cashier, but she has been very pleased with all aspects of the company.
