Anybody want to see the Orlando Magic during Mousefest weekend?

Oh gosh. I was looking for a report on the hometown team. :) :)
My girls, DD10 princess: and DD7 pooh:, would be soooooo disappointed if we went to Orlando and went to a Magic game instead of the parks. Well, in fact, I would be too.

Well I can tell you if I had a choice of the Magic game or the parks I would pick the parks!!!!

I'm an NBA fan, and even if I got free tickets to see the Bulls in Orlando I'd still pick going to the parks without even thinking twice about it.

I have to admit, when we have a trip planned, we do check if our local teams are playing during that time. So far we have seen the Red Sox in Tampa Bay and Anaheim(cant get those tickets at home), the Celtics in LA, and the Patriots in Jacksonville. If the Celtics were playing the Magic during a trip, we would probably go.

And we are seeing the Celtics vs Magic, but in Boston, on March 8th. I specifically picked that game becasue its was Orlando....seriously. :lmao:

unless you had a time machine and Jordan was playing!:thumbsup2

OK, we have to admit, we made a trip to Orlando especially to go to the
"O-rena" This is true.

However, we made the trip to see Bruce Springsteen - NOT the Magic!!
:goodvibes

I am local and the only time i would give up the parks for the magic is when the celtics are in town. other than that who really cares about the magic? the only magic anywhere near orlando is the magic of disney!

I know someone who is flying in a day early to go see Lebron James and the Cavs play the magic before the start of one of his trips.

As a huge sports fan, whenever I am going on a trip anywhere, I check to see if there are any sporting events that I could catch. I thoroughly enjoy sampling different sport experiences. Took a vacation to Arizona - made sure to catch a D-Backs game. Conference in San Antonio - saw the Spurs. Have been to Miami multiple times - saw a couple of Marlins games and a U Miami basketball game. Even when I went to Anaheim last, I made sure to go to a Ducks game! I find it part of a great trip to see how other cities experience sports, and I have a running list of Stadiums and Arenas I've visited over the years and I plan to make that list much longer.

But there is no way in #%$# I'd waste my time going to an Orlando Magic game.

If I was in Orlando and the Celtics were playing the Magic, I'd be there:thumbsup2 Otherwise, no:rotfl:

Okay, I don't care about the Magic either, but I know a few people who do.

I listen to another podcast (huh?!?!?) called RELEVANT and it's based out of Orlando. The people on there are HUGE Magic fans. One guy told a story about how he was horrified/amused that Stuff the Magic Dragon boxed a real kangaroo. Another guy talked about how he shouted at the Magic to "play some freakin' defense!"

So yeah, Magic fans to exist. The city probably just wants to make them more common than the white tiger.

I would rather see the ICF Holiday Classic basketball tournament in Orlando, but that's because my alma mater will be playing. Go Penn!

But it still would take alot to get me off property for that, but I'd see Penn basketball for a night. No way an NBA game.
