Anybody want a visitor for 4th of July?

Ok, I mostly kidding....

Well, DH got a wonderful opportunity to go to the Philippines to help open an office for the company he works for....

But, he will be gone for about 9 whole days!! What am I going to do?? Where shall I go?? He will be gone during 4th of July. This is our first big separation.

Any ideas what I can do??

We have 4 acres, BBQ, volleyball, badminton, and LOTS of FIREWORKS!!
And an extra bed.

It is hard when they start traveling.....but later you will love it

My family is also going out of town for the 4th of July and I'll be here alone w/ maybe DS4.

DBro - Going to Dallas to visit his in-laws

My husband travels often too. In Febuary he went to England and Germany for a month (30 very looooong days of boredom, lol) so I snuck off for a weekend in Vegas to visit my DB and DSiL without telling my husband!

Sure come on over.....plenty of room.
We usually have about 80 for the day and stay up until midnight lighting fireworks.

My DH travels a lot too. I have grown to cherish those times
Especially with the house being for sale.,,,,SO much easier to keep clean without him here.

What if you sign up for a cooking class. Then when Chris comes home, you can cook him a great meal of what you learned how to make?

Along those same lines, since someplaces don't always have classes...what about doing a "My Girlfriend's Kitchen" type thing? The place you go to where you prepare the food right up until put in the oven moment and then bring the items home.

Rent all the girlie movies you DH wouldn't watch except he loves you and watch them while he is gone.

Go to Home Depot or Lowes and get the items to plant a few containers.

We can have a DIS exchange people July 4th party.....and it is very nice weather wise here right now. We finally warmed up and were about 80 yesterday. A little overcast today, but still nice.

Eva....when I am home alone for a stretch....which is about twice a month I just go to movies, watch movies at home, bake, go shopping, read, play video games.....Disneyland would definitely be on my list if I was you

Yes, Disneyland is on the list!! It is not always fun without Chris, but I still can have fun. Just take my time and take in everything.

DS looked into the meal prep places.....he thought it was too expensive.

My best friend did it once and found she still ate out too much But she thought it was fun and enjoyed doing it.

I have always wanted to go over to NYC and NJ. I just wish it was not so expensive. It sounds so much fun! Whenever I think of Alantic City I think of my all time fav. movie BEACHES!

Sarah, I would LOVE to come and visit you guys, but it is not that it is far away, it is just I don't have a passport yet! I need to get that and travel a whole lot more. I like your idea to have a party for 4th of July.

To everyone, I wish I had tons of money to visit you all while my husband is gone! He leaves on Sunday so spare a good thought or two for him as he travels. Does anybody want to come here and go to Disneyland with me??
