I'm looking for feedback from anyone who has stayed at the Embassy Suites on International Drive. Is it within walking distance to the Convention Center, is the pool nice, etc...

We stayed there a couple of years ago and loved it.

You could walk to the Convention Center, but it is a pretty good walk. They're both on the same side of the street, so you just follow the sidewalk. Most of the conventions have vans that pick up and drop off at the hotels. Also, you could take the I-Ride Trolley (I think a 7 day unlimited pass was $7).

The hotel's location is excellent - lots of restaurants nearby (plus, if you don't have a vehicle, the trolley goes up and down International Drive).

There are two pools - one outdoors, one indoors. They aren't themed or spectacular or huge like some other hotel pools. We liked having the indoor pool, since we were there in March, but we stayed so busy nobody ever got in it (did their swimming at Wet 'N' Wild when the weather was nice).

The breakfast that was included was incredible. We are all breakfast eaters and found it helped save money on meals. They have a buffet, and you can also have anything else you would like cooked at the grill (I loved their ham and cheese omelets).

They have an evening social time, but we never did that.

Our room had two queen beds in the bedroom (very spacious) and a sleeper in the living room/kitchenette/dining area.

Hello, yes, I've stayed there twice while my hubby was attending conventions. I can't remember how far it was to the convention center, sorry. I think (not sure) it is in walking distance. The hotel itself is a little dated but nice and spacious. Breakfast is good. It is in a great area filled w/ lots of restaurants and little side attractions. All in all a very good choice!:D

thanks for the feedback. I understand they also have complimentary shuttles to all of the Disney Parks.

Oh yeah, one final thing. I'm not sure when you're going but I heard Fla is having a cool winter. When we visited in Jan last year it was cool and the hotel heat wasn't turned on. I called reception about it and got a portable heater sent up on the 2nd night, there weren't any avail. the first eve. Just wanted to let you know ahead of time just in case so you can get dibs on one:)
