We are sailing on Sep 21 and have a few questions that we hope someone can answer for us.

1. We are in a category 11 room. Is there a tub and a shower?

2. Is there a dresser or bureau? If so, how many drawers are in it? Are they big drawers or small drawers?

3. How much closet space is there?

4. Since there are only the two of us, which would give us more space to move around in- seperate beds or the two beds pushed together?

We are 49 and 50 years old and will be celebrating our 27th anniversary on this cruise. Is there anyone about our same age going?

Hope to see many of you on this cruise.

There are several sites but Dave's at dcltribute.com is probably the best. This will have loads of info on the stateroom specifics. I'm pretty sure the split bath is standard, and there are several places with drawer space. That thing that looks like a steamer trunk for one and also right next to the closet. I believe that one has four drawers.

The bed will come made up as a double unless you specify otherwise. And...HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!

Hi Gary and Connie!

Your room is a Standard Inside Stateroom and contains a tub/shower combination. The Cat. 11s do NOT have the split bathroom.

There is one bureau, plus shelves under the safe in the closet. The closet is a sliding door closet with ample room to hang everything you bring. There is PLENTY of storage space for a party of two. :)

Keeping the beds together gives you the most space in the room, but it's not that much more than if they are apart.

You'll see lots of folks in your age range on the cruise.

Enjoy your anniversary cruise! :)

Thanks for correcting me Michelle. I guess I thought all of the rooms had the split. Mea culpa.

No problem, Deb. :) The 11s and 12s are the only staterooms on the ship that don't have the split baths, just FYI.

fmd8305,
I personally like the cat 11 and 12 bathrooms, you have more room. I did not like the split bathroom. I saw no sense in having 2 tiny rooms instead of 1 with just enough room. If hubby or the kids have to go to the bathrrom while I am in the shower, no problem. We only have one bathroom at home so this happens all the time:D

I don't think the question was about a split bath....I think it was about a tub and shower. I think it has a combination tub & shower, but I think all the tubs are small tubs. Hopefully someone knows for sure, but I believe all rooms except the suites have a small tub/shower combination.

I hope this comes up.Standard Inside

There is a dresser in the room with 1 long top drawer and on each side 3 or 4 small but deep drawers, you may have an upright trunk which has shelves for more storage also above the T.V. will be a cabinet with shelving and extra coverings. There is a large closet across from the bathroom area with a safe, shelving under that.
There is room under your bed to store luggage, we put one suitcase in the other and slide ours under with no problems.

We were a party of two adults of approximately the same age for our May, 2001 cruise, also in a Cat. 11. We had more than enough storage space, but we don't overpack. (I'm not one of those women who brings a suitcase for shoes and one for make-up LOL!) The tub is small, but is large enough to sit in and take a bubble bath if you want to. That's one of my "hotel and cruise pleasures" since I rarely take time to do that at home. We had the beds made up together, and it was a wonderful trip. I can't wait to do it again in December, except this time FIL is coming with us, so we'll be three in a Cat. 11, and I'm sure we'll have plenty of room.
