I just bought the Canon Powershot SD550 online today from dell....just wondering if anyone has this camera and how you like it? Thanks for any opinions and advice you can give me.....

I dont have this particular model. I have the Powershot A85. I love mine! I got it a few years ago for my birthday. It's with held many drops (oops im clumsy). You'll love it!!

We have the Powershot A70 and S70 and think they are great. Why don't you ask this question on the Photography board, you will get more replies.

I have this camera. It is very bad with red eye. Any indoor pics will have to be edited for red eye removal. I contacted Canon about it and they said because the flash is so close to the lens, you will always get some red eye. I could handle some red eye, but not all of the time. I bought this camera for a small pocket sized camera but I never use it. I also have the Canon G6, which is larger, but does much better with red eye reduction.

Let me know what you think once you receive it. Remember, take lots of pics right away. If you get lots of red eye, return it with the 30 of 45 days allowed. Also, read reviews about the camera online. I think the Canon 450 is a little better on red eye.

I love this camera!!! I really haven't had that much trouble with the red eye yet. I love it for the size and convience. The camera takes really great pics. I also like all the options it has on it. I have been playing around with mine since October so I can get the particular shots I want and know what settings to use with out having to guess. Enjoy your camera- I think you will really like it.

I have one of the other PowerShot (440 I think) models that came out 2-3 years ago, I love it.
