Hi,
We are getting up to our eyeballs in boxes as our moving date approaches. Any veteran movers out there with any tips? I'd love to hear from you!

Use this opportunity to get rid of stuff that you don't use and are not likely to use in your new place.

Buy paper plates to put between your dishes so you can stack them up in a box.

Label each box with the location you would like it placed in when you arrive at your new place (Joe's bedroom), as well as a brief description of what is in the box (trophies). Write this on at least two sides of the box.

Number your boxes and keep a detailed list of each of the items in the box (this will help with any claim against the mover for lost or damaged boxes).

Remember to keep calm and order take out!

Good luck.

Don't leave the cleaning and packing till the last minute.

Remember to contact your post office regarding your new forwarding address. Along with all the other companies-banks, credit card companies, store charge card companies...

Be sure to keep your important papers with you and not pack them just in case your boxes get lost or something of that sort.
