If so, how do you like it. I'm thinking about a new mattress. One person I know loves it but I know someone else who just bought one and they are not sure yet if they really like it.

What's your sleep number?

No, but we've thought about one too. We bought a Serta (not top of the line but between middle & top) about 1-1/2 years ago, have flipped it like they told us and it dips in the middle. We paid almost $900 for this mattress and DH wakes up in the morning barely able to get his socks on, due to his back hurting.

Yeah - I bought a really expensive Simmons Beauty Rest about 4 years ago and it has to be turned all of the time too. It's just me and I just sleep in one place ,and it will get a big sag - and I'm not that heavy!

Yep we have one!!! We love it! I admit though we just put an order in for our second one! We are just upgrading in size (decided we need more space) though and got the top of the line bed, and it feels so wonderful!!! The nicest part is that with the way my back is, I am able to adjust the bed to what feels best to me (I range between 25-35 depending). My husband and I also have different sleep preferences (his is at 55) and this is wonderful. No worries about bed breaking down or sagging either because you just fill it back up with air ;) They are definitely worth looking into! I highly recommend going to a store and checking them out.

Love ours, we've had it about 4-5 years now. No problems what so ever. I have a bad back too and sometimes I do wake up stiff but it may be worse if I was on a regular mattress

My number is 45, and DH is at 55

Actually it was helenabear who inspired the purchase of my own King Select Comfort! ;)

I was a little wary at first, and though it's not for everyone, so far we just love it. The separate components are all warrantied for 20 yrs(20? Not sure about that number.) but should you need a replacement, you can simply replace a component instead of replacing the entire thing!

My sleep number goes up and down depending on my mood.:)

LOVE IT ! Although we did have a problem with the mattress slipping down ( there was a thread about it started by someone , I would search for it ) .
I called and complained and after 1 month they replaced it .
We cant be without and are wanting to get each of our teenagers one .

Wishing you a Tagged night
Mishell

DH researched it and we were considering buying one, but then we had the opportunity to try one out and we changed our minds. A friend of mine asked us to dog sit and stay in their condo for a weekend. Their bed is not that old, but we noticed there's a big dip in the middle. We thought maybe because the husband and wife were 2 different sleep numbers???
We weren't sure, but that scared us away from that bed. It wasn't comfortable with that big dip in it. It kinda forced us to each stay on "our" side of the king bed.
We ended up buying a queen Serta "Evia" which is Serta's Swedish Foam Mattress. We Absolutely LOVE it!! I can't say enough about this bed. It was about $1,800 and unlike the Temperpedic, this is a "high" bed which is what DH wanted. We loved the Temperpedics but thought they were too low.
There is no bounce to this bed. (The kids couldn't even jump on it!)it molds to your body when you lie down. It's SO comfortable!
We are very happy with our decision!

I don't think I had the same bed that you guys were talking about, but I did have one of those that you could control the amount of air to each side.

It was like a remote control one with 2 buttons, not the number one. Anyways, I HATED THAT THING! I tend to sleep in the middle of the bed and I could never get the sides even, so I was always sleeping lop sided. Would never go there again!

We've got a Sleep Number. Love it! It has helped DH's back a lot. He started at 70, now is at 45-50. I'm anywhere from 15 to 35.

We've had ours since before they were called the Sleep Number Bed and absolutely adore it-it helped DH's back enormously. The only real problem we've had with it and DH doesn't even know, is now that he is deployed and I sleep alone the mattress 'wanders" because I sleep way over on one side of the bed-he is a space hog and i have always done it, in only became a problem when I am sleeping alone. I am getting ready to buy one for my son also.

Yep, we've got one. Love it. Went to the store to try them out, and bought the best one, it's sleep heaven. No more back problems, but we sure miss it when we travel! I'm a 35. Diana

My sleep number is 45, but I sometimes adjust it. I love being able to do that. I love my mattress. For us, it was money well spent.

We have a Comfort Aire bed, which is an air bed (doesn't have numbers though). We bought it last year and LOVE it! Haven't noticed any sagging as of yet, but ours is a split mattress (we can raise and lower each side). It has really helped DH's back. :)

I had one and hated it so much that I returned it. I had previously owned a Simmons Beautyrest that was sagging after 6 years. A mattress salesman told me that Simmons now "wraps" their mattresses in a memory foam and that is why some of the versions that were sold between 1994 and 1999 were sagging. Apparently the foam was inferior. The Simmons' mattresses I had prior to that were fine. I was so made with the mattress I tried to make the switch to the air bed. I found it comfortable in the store for the 45 minutes I tried it, but I never could get it to feel good at home. I just bought a Stearns and Foster which cost me about $1300 for a Queen and it is really nice. Felt good to me after about the third night.

We got one this summer and I neither love nor hate it.It's ok.

DH's back is much better than on our waterbed, and mine is some better, but I still wake up around 5:00 and have to get up due to lower back pain. That said, I used to get up at 3:00 a.m. and not be able to stand up straight until around 9:00. I guess it is an improvemnt, but I just don't ever feel curl up/stay in bed all day/cozy/comfy in it.BTW, his # is 40-50 and mine is 50.

We have one - bought it back when Gary Collins was the spokesperson and before they had the retail stores.
Have never had a problem, other than when the movers broke a part on it, then we called and had what we needed within 2 days.

I've never had any kind of back problems, so has not mattered much to me what I sleep on (though I too was VERY glad to get rid of the old waterbed!)

DH does have some back problems and he loves it. He's always adjusting his side based on how his back feels.
